Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

Happy you don't get it from my end. I see coaches fall for different reasons then you do fundamentally. I see them as having some responsibility for their own demise really rather then shifting all the blame onto Robbie Farah for "bringing them down"

Farah played nearly a decade under Sheens so I think its a strange one of say he bought him down.

I tell you who bought down Sheens. Average performers week in and week out and perhaps shock horror some average selections on his behalf in terms of light weight packs and terrible benches. Blokes who never reached their level. Guys like Lawrence, Galloway, Blair, Moltzen, these are the players that bought down Sheens.

Sheens wouldn't have been in any trouble if he kept making finals series would he?He would have done that with more consistent performances from certain boys club players.

Face facts some Tigers fans agree with my point of view, some with you. You can claim people have no idea, but other people might think you have no idea. Its just difference of opinion.

Sheens has been quoted saying that senior player(s) brought him down. So, Happy wasn't going left field there.. and I completely agree with the assumption it was most likely Robbie.
Mick Potter was 100% brought down by Robbie. Before then, we were top 4 I think?
Now he has obviously tried it on Taylor otherwise he wouldn't have been given the boot.

It's funny you mention all the coaches are to blame. Because I can only see one common factor across all the years that WT has under-performed. Robbie. Every other role or position in the club has been rotated.

You mean Sheens was shifting blame for getting sacked? Wow, thats startling.

Where is he coaching now remind me please?

Oh thats right no NRL club would touch him and he lost 3 times in a row to NZ and got sacked as Aussie coach? Maybe Robbie got in their ear ay?!

Which NRL club pounced on Potter? Oh he was working at his wife cafe last year that right. I liked Potter but if was so good why hasn't he been picked up elsewhere>

If your right and Robbie bought these guys down well he is not alone because 15 other NRL clubs are passing on these guys.

Wonder who will poach taylor from us at the end of the year I wonder?

But now you don't get it Eddie

It's not Robbie's job to have coaches sacked is it ??

He is a player , he plays

Yeah sure say during contract negotiations "I'm going if he is still here next season "

Put the onus on the club to make decisions

If Robbie was so unhappy why didn't he leave ??

And Hammertime your right ,apart from Senior MacDonnell the only constant is Farah

Happy

I have not put Farah on a pedestal, hold your horses….I was agreeing with Eddie in regards With how Farah has played on the field for us and that is the sort of characters i like in my players representing the Club i support.

Read all my post on this Topic and it's far from Farah on a pedestal.

To me Farah and Taylor both need to go.

I'm bailing out on this Topic, I've had enough.

What bs crap with Brooks are you talking about Happy

The reported meeting between Moses ,Ayoub ,Brooks etc

Brooks family is filthy about it and another player is dumping the Ayoub over this

Farah would know it didn't happen

If he loves the club and the players like he claims he should come out and say something

If not it just supports every claim being made about Farah

Funny that no blame ever gets put on boards, players have never sacked one coach in any club as far as I know.
Clubs sack Coaches. !!!
And I might add, not too many of them get sacked if
They are sucessfull , occasionally, but not often
And I've never seen a successful one sacked at WTs

And the same person who supports stories being claimed about players he has bled with

Taylor deserves a chance to at least implement things with the players he wants at the club

Appears Roosters players none to happy with Farah being linked to them…

Report Farah's Preference Is With Tricolours
But players revolt might block move

The Robbie Farah rumours continue to fly around - will he go to the Dragons or the Roosters? Or will there be a last-minute backflip to the Tigers.

Triple M's Supergrass has told The Grill Team he's hearing Farah would prefer to join the tricolours.

"I'm hearing his preference is the Roosters but the players at the Roosters are not overly happy about this, in particular the current hooker Jake Friend," said Supergrass, on Triple M's Grill Team.

"I'm hearing even if the Roosters decide there might be some sort of players revolt and he won't end up there."

It does seem like a bizarre swap. Matty Johns has big wraps on Jake Friend, saying he'd be a big loss of he left.

"If Cameron Smith was to breakdown, you would imagine he would be the Australian hooker," said Matty Johns.

The NRL are unlikely to allow the Roosters to register Farah for a bargain price under the salary cap even if the Tigers pay out a large portion of his contract.

Roosters chief executive Brian Canavan said there had been no contact since reports of the mooted move broke over the weekend.

"We haven't heard anything from Wests Tigers or the player's management in the last three days," Canavan told AAP on Wednesday.

This is an interesting quote. It almost substantiates that the Roosters were the team.

How do you know that was a meeting with them or that they were involved in any discussions.
There's plenty of people saying that it was hardly a private meeting, and apparently a place where the players regulatrly go socially. There has been nothing that I've seen to say they were part of any conspiracies .
I took the report that the families were upset about the original reports involving both , was becaused it involved the young guys. But have seen Nothing that says they are filthy with Farah and his manager about their so called" dragging" the young guys into it. I read it as they were filthy about the way it was reported to deliberately involve the players.

But never mind , if the way I read it was right, it still makes a bit of shakey
news that can soon be Moulded into fact, to join some of the other stuff accredited to Farah
The only place that I've seen anything Saying that the young blokes were involved in any actual meeting is here, and We know how reliable that that would be.

So whoever wrote this report , is someone who we can believe , is it?
I only ask , as there so many reporters that are spoken of here as grubs one day, and as fine upstanding gentlemen of the press the next. Depending On whether their story suits one argument ot the other on any given day
I agree with you though , it does sound like BS.

Buddy,

Its all Robbie fault that both coaches were sacked (Or Wobbie as some of our fans like to call him)

It was not Sheens fault they couldn't tackle or played 3 wingers on the bench most weeks?

Coaches are not partly to blame for being sacked with 40% win records? Why would you think that

Farah orchestrated it all

:crazy

I look forward to everyone changing their tune on Pascoe if he approves an immediate release.

"He's doing something I approve of" = He's doing a wonderful job.

This place is full of fickle fans. They'll change their tune at the drop of a hat. I expect the daggers to be out for Pascoe at any moment. No-one is safe from the fan's knives.

Snarling, Hissing, Tantrum throwing at a drop of a hat, if we don't agree with each other.
This forum is in crisis…..Could we all go to bonding camp too? Please.... 😛ray:

Would love to go to bonding camp with you Mama and the rest of the crew on here…..I just want to know who will pay for Security at the camp..it would be a hell of crap fest though....

Absolutely agree with the last sentence TT :roll

Don't know from who?

Every post i have said about Pascoe is: I believe his made the right noises, his walked in to this mess and think his doing a very good job.

I even feel for Pascoe…..his had to come back from his holidays to have urgent meetings with the Ayoub camp in regards with the release. I dare say he went on holidays with the impression that the Farah and Taylor saga was healing itself by the reports from JT how impressed he was with Farah's attitude since Pre Season got under way.
When you consider Pascoe started his Job way before he was required to and he never created these dramas his walked into, I geniuanly think it was poor form from the Ayoub Camp the timing of the request.
I actually felt sorry for Pascoe leaving his Family behind on there vacation.

Pascoe has done an admirable job to date, I feel for him the mess his walked into.

Me too. Well said FT.

me three. Even if you don't approve of the Tigers telling Farah they don't want to pay his full contact, Ayoub and Farah leaked it to the media, Ayoub has publicly threatened to air dirty laundry about the club (that Robbie WANTS to stay at) and his meeting on the weekend is classless.

Thanks for the Pm CB
That's fair enough.
Actually , I had a couple of recent pm's there that I hadn't had a notification for. Apologies to those who had pm'd me in the last week Or so

Since this whole thing has unfolded make no mistake it's become Personal and tarnished our Club.

I'm guessing the meeting between Farah /Ayoub vs Taylor/Reddy maybe went something like this

Taylor maybe saying Something like this :
Taylor " we as a Club are heading in a different direction and we allowing you a chance to find another Club "
Farah says " mate I've got 2 years to go on my Contract, I'm the current Blues hooker and I'm no value to you? I've taken pay cuts to be with this Club i love and your telling me I'm not wanted?
Taylor says " sorry but it's the direction we are heading.
Farah says " Well I'm not going anywhere and have a right to stay and honour my Contract "
Reddy jumps in " well you do that and Reserve Grade is your destination.
Farah says "will see about that ".

Then as Farah and Ayoub leave the room and Ayoub is about to close the door he winks at Jason Taylor and says " let the fun and games begin "
 , sorry guys not funny.

Look Farah loves this Club and I'm sure to get told that he's not wanted? It's like a dagger in the heart for him, he obviously felt he had a right to stay and fight for his position, but with the Ballin signing made him more furious and Things have escalated more in the background even though JT has been impressed with Farah's application to training and maybe has had a change of heart? no idea.

Ayoub has definitely not helped the situation and has muddied our Club even more, if he has dragged Moses and Farah into this by manipulating there decision to delay there extension's? Then it's simply unforgivable.
If in actual fact there is concerns from Moses and Brooks about the future of the Club and the direction it's heading? Well that is a major concern, there was noises mid year that there style was being affected by Taylor's Coaching style? Whether there's any truth to that? Is anyone's guess. I did notice a different combination from Brooks/Moses in the back half of the year and noticed they took the line on way more.

You must've been a fly on the wall, at that meeting FT. JT and the board, underestimated Robbie and doesn't give a hoot about his connection, dedication and love for this club.
I love Robbie to stay, that's not a secret, but i agree with you, that he'll be better off at another sane club. I would always wish him the best, no matter where he's playing.
