Robbie Farah says he'll dig his heels in and play out his contract with Wests Tigers despite his broken relationship with coach Jason Taylor.
>
The feud between the pair continues to worsen with Farah insisting he's being forced out of the club and questioning Taylor's approach to coaching.
>
Farah led the Tigers NSW Cup side to a 42-24 win over Newtown on Saturday at Leichhardt Oval, three days after being dumped for Sunday's round 20 NRL clash against St George Illawarra at ANZ Stadium.
>
It is the latest chapter in an almost year-long dispute between the pair, after Taylor told Farah he was free to exit Concord at the end of last season. Farah is contracted to the Tigers through 2017.
>
"I am entitled to stay. As long as I do that I will keep doing what is required of me," he said.
>
"I have done that the whole year and that won't change. However else I get treated is out of my control. All I can control is my actions and I will continue to train hard as I have always done.
>
"I will continue being professional and try and keep my mouth shut and try not to do anything wrong because I think that is what they are trying to get me to do."
>
Farah indicated he felt he had been dropped because of the ill feeling between the coach and himself. Taylor denies that is the case.
>
" I have kept my mouth shut for the last couple of years and it is hard when you see stuff written about you, false stuff, and people saying stuff about you and I haven't responded," he said.
>
"I have just kept copping it on the chin and become a sucker for punishment. I have sat back and really there is nothing to gain by me saying anything. I will let my football do the talking.
>
"I am a contracted player. They can treat me however they want and I will continue to do what is asked of me.
>
Farah said he was trying to stay upbeat.
>
"I got put back to the bench a few weeks ago, I didn't kick stones," he said.
>
"I have done my best and tried to alter my game. Obviously it is unnatural for me considering what I have done my whole career.
>
"I can definitely say I have done my utmost to do what is required of me but it seems that nothing I do is good enough at the moment."

So he acknowledges it is not just JT?

Small steps.

Will all come out in the end I'm sure.

the result of this afos game is important.
if tigers win, which we all hope, peace will reign again.
robbie continues to play reserve grade and the media will have to turn their attention somewhere else.
if the team loses ,the conflict will spark again.
and so will this forum.
lets hope for a win.

Keep selecting him in reserve grade and back jt as coach in 2017\. His ego is too big to handle this and he will find his way out.

It will be all over soon. This is about saying to Robbie, nothing's changed. We need relief from your salary in 2017 to move the club forward, hurry up and get a deal done so we can both move on.

I reckon if the club had stuck to their guns and played him in reserve grade from round 1, he would have found a new home before June 30, or lined up to go to England as soon as origin was over.

I have heard that there was a deal done for Robbie to play first grade until after origin provided Farah found a new club for 2017\. This may explain the current blowup.

Back the coach.

ALWAYS back the coach.

All the facebook bleeding hearts for robbie belt out the same tune - ITS DISRESPECTFUL, OMG IT"S PERSONAL, OMG F##K TAYLOR HE'S A CHUMP

Jason Taylor then comes out and says what we have all known and seen for the last 20 weeks, then on top of that FOX SPORTS CONFIRM THE LOT by going to the statistics.

Guys, love him or hate him -Jason Taylor isn't stupid. He's now finally been given his moment to prove it.

Get a lobster on the tigers to make the 8, and you will win enough to have a semi decent night out come September.

with JT as coach me thinks u will be eating at the wayside chapel, but dont worry ur best friend JT hopefully will be dining with u.

You mean the JT that has taken us from 15th last yr to having us sitting out of the 8 only due to points diff? That JT? Oh yeah, we're definitely going backwards. Sack him immediately.

I would want to keep Elijah Taylor for sure, but playing him as a ball distributing hooker just nullifies all his skills, imo.

So with no Farah, no Halatau, a broken down Matt Ballin and an out of favour Cherrington, who has JT got left to choose at dummy half? ET of course, and it's just as bad a decision as playing a half on the wing all season and expecting great results! :crazy

Good point Flip, why play the NSW hooker when you don't need to :unamused:

I think Liddle will be our hooker next season.

If ET can't wait a couple of weeks to see if we can make the finals before signing a contract then he's not a team player.
Why can't this all be played out in a few weeks from now? That way we can keep our best team on the paddock for season 2016.

I didn't know that he's not waiting, but if that's true, it's his right to want his future wrapped whenever he wants to.
There'd be no reason for him to think that the club keeps their word, so if I was him , I'd be wanting to see a contract for next year as soon as possible.
His value is probably at a peak at the moment. So his Manager should be sounding out other clubs regarding next year. And it would be certain that that , is happening now.

I'd be wanting to know if they want him for next year , and if they do where's the contract, if they want to stall, for whatever reason, there's plenty of other clubs that would want him.

We could go up a couple of positions, but could also drop a couple of positions,
Could be a good idea to hold the celebrating till we know just where we are
Manly could even finish in front of us mathematically .

The deal is pay him his money, as they Contracted to do, and there's no problem
The longer this goes, it just shows how far the club will go , to try to get out of paying , when they want to break a contract

"Taken us from 15th"

Who was in charge in 2015??

He took us down a step after Potter had us improving in 2014.

Im not saying this year has not been good, but that's a laughable way of phrasing things.
