Wests Tigers Captain Robbie Farah believes Kiwi international Adam Blair will make the same positive impact on the team as Gareth Ellis has done.
“Adam is a winner,” Farah said.
“He is used to that winning culture at the Storm and has played in 3 grand finals.
“Adam has played in a winning Four Nations side and a winning World Cup side for New Zealand. He just knows how to win.
“He will bring that attitude here, that ruthless attitude. He doesn’t take a backwards step and he will stick up for his team-mates.
“For us, our immediate job is to make him feel welcome, make him feel part of the team and make him feel like he belongs. We will then see the best of him.”
Ellis said he was very much looking forward to packing down with Blair.
“It is great that we will have so much international experience in the side next year. There are some high calibre players here now,’’ Ellis said.
“When I first signed with the Club, Tim Sheens told me he planned to bring in a world class player every year. True to his word, Tim has brought in Lote Tuqiri and now Adam Blair.
“I’ve always been impressed by Adam’s attitude and work ethic. He is the type of player you love playing with.
“For me, they are the best players. The guys who do all the little things and he is one of those players.
“I know all the boys are really looking to playing alongside Adam.”
I cannot wait for season 2012 to start. Bring it on.
