On Twitter, Robbie has annouced that he is opening a new restaurant in Norton St, Leichhardt in three weeks. It's going to be called tigerTiger. It's at the Zoo Bar. They will be serving Pizza, Pasta & Schnizel. They will also have a bistro menu as well.

They will be having the grand opening on 24 August. Invite only. It's opened to the public from the 25th for Lunch & Dinner.

Might go and check it out.

The opening is gonna be jammed with NRL players based on the invites he keeps throwing out on twitter lol

He reckons the schnitz is the bomb

So he is an idiot for wanting to set himself up for after football life. Pull your head in Regan. You hear of footballers getting in trouble because they have too much times on their hands. I say good on him.

Chris Lawrence, Bryce Gibbs and Liam Fulton all run their own business outside of football.

They've all had terrible seasons hey?

Sorry i should have said an idiot for opening a restaurant… Lawrence , Gibbs and Fulton dont have a restaurant and its great to have some think out side of football ...

Have you every owned a restraunt or had a full time job in Hospitality its one of the most difficult trades ..i have been in hospitality for almost 20 years i have had friends open restaurants on norton street and all across the city i have worked in 5 star hotels and worked in many diffrent countrys and its very hard ....

And for some one who has never worked in hospitality its very very stupid to open a restaurant because of the dynamics there is so much to know and do.... so many people who know what to do have lost alot of money and for some one who knows nothing very stupid

Lets just say his rent is $2000 aweek than he will need a head chef thats $1200 aweek and than he will need a sous chef that will be about $900 and if it lunch and dinner 7 days aweek at least 4 chef de parites and that will set him back $750 each so that will be $3000 than he will need 2 apprentice chefs to do the sh:t work that will cost him $800 and to kitchen hands so that another $800 than you have the pizza guys say 4 guys working that section in a week that will cost you say 2 at $800 1 at $650 and 1 at $550 and all these sums are afther tax he has to pay tax on top of that for the wages and super so $11500 plus tax and super lets say $15300 plus $2000 for rent so Robbie is up tp $17300

Now you have a restaurant Manager say hes on $1200 plus you will need 8 waiters for the week each waiter say will make an average wage of $600 plu tips that the customers give them

So Robbie is up to $23300

Now he has to pay for gas eletric insurance and public liability say gas a week is $200 eletric $220 insurance puplic liability $175

So Robbie is now up tp about $23450 and he still has not got any food in the restaurant

Say his food and and bar cost is 28 percent which would be good for him and he will need to spend than another $6566 and thats just for stock

Robbie now just to break even in a week needs to make $30016 and and that a pretty big noose around your neck and thats why i say its a very stupid thing to do

Thats why so many restaraunts close the over heads are so so big

I have open restaurants and hotels i know what i am talking about i have also been to restaurant when they just close and the owner in crying in the corner thinking what he has done wrong lost so much money every think they had

A good friend of mine goes to restaurants when they just close and buys whats left of the restaurant for next to nothing and rips it all out and sells it to the next sucker for 5 times the cost he makes alot of money doing that

In the trade you just dont need to know what you are doing you all so need a little luck

My family run a bistro in a sports club at the moment. It's completely different to running a free standing restaurant in regards to expenses etc. For all we know the pub may not charge Robbie rent as having the restaurant there attracts customers to the bar to buy drinks. Or maybe if he is paying rent then the wont have to pay utilities etc.

I'm sure he knows what he's doing…

Restaurants dont close because there over-heads are so big. Restaurants close because they dont have the right Traffic Generators for the Deliverable Product/Concept…
