Robbie's Origin career now over

After what happened tonight I'd say that, barring injury, Robbie will never be considered for Origin ever again. This was his big chance to show how much better he is than Ennis and he blew it. Big time.

Just on ennis , how good was he actually???

Man of the match did i miss somthing?

He was good, I thought he was one of their top 3 players tonight and I felt he deserved MOM.
He looked dangerous from Dummy half and he made 50 tackles, when you consider the lack of possession we had, thats a lot of tackles.

Just whatever he was doing to the commentators before the game If laying in the ruck being a grub what makes you a champion player maybe some of us have hope yet of making it in the NRL . Hodgkinson for me for MOM

This must just be the night of stupid threads! Is it a full moon?

If Robbie wants to play Origin again then he has to earn it. He does not deserve to be in the team before Ennis or Gidley on his current form. You don't get the sky blue for haveing a good year two seasons ago.

On the positive side, I think he showed signs of playing himself into some form tonight.

Lacking attack. Bad kicks. Doesn't think. Seriously, if he was free agent off contract, no club will want him. Yes, I'm talking about Farah. Not a captain

farah did us no favours tonight. why kick the ball back 20 metres into touch to start the set back there? Why does he grubber straight to Barba standing there? Why does he have head explosions? Why does he think it's all about him? Ever since he had that restaurant he's gone down hill. Has anyone noticed this? Poor Robbie, he's a found a niche in the real world. It's as though he's thinking about life after football. I dont think he's mind is on the job right at this time. It's a good time to experiment. I say humble yourself Robbie and step down. When you're ready we'll put you back. Bring in Tedesco at fullback, promote Ellis to captain. Gareth is hungrier right now because he doesnt have as much time as Robbie in our colours. I say dare to dream and make the impossible happen. men have been to the moon and back. We need a new leader. Wake up Tim and stop living in the past - its 2011!!!!!!!But hang on - Have faith in Sheens yet, he still may see the light. Let Ellis lead. He has the credentials. He's been there before. Robbie's restaurant will always be there. Gareth wont.

He made 50 tackles, I think.

If that useless clown made 50 tackles tonight I'd be astonished as if you add them to the 50 he missed he may have set a new NRL record.

Add that to the fact he gave away 3 or 4 penalties and should have been pinged for more and I'd say that was a 5 out of 10 performance from him.

Absolutley on the mark Stryker, I was at the ground and didn't know he got MOM I was wondering why Ch9 was interviewing him after the game. If he made 50 tackles then half of them were flops, also he aided mand abetted our try by trying to get in the way in the ruck which caused farah to kick the ball in goal and we scored- thanks Mick. He will get picked for SOO3 as he is the flavour of the year and can do no wrong and the refs adjudicate his actions accordingly. As for the title of this thread, well Farah is not going to get picked regardless so his SOO career has been over for some time. He is probably over it and I can't agree that his game was that bad tonight.

Robbie won't ever play Origin again as the selectors feel like he dominates a team too much and needs it all structured around him. That's okay if you are Thurston or Johns, but Robbie really hasn't dominated ever like those two. That's why they'll go away from him and pick a dummy half simply to pass the ball out and feed the forwards.

Robbie needs to be the central guy. Unfortunately his form has been pretty poor for 18 months now apart from the odd good game.

A real pity. Two years ago I had his down as an Origin captain + rated him higher than Cam Smith.

He's gone backwards since then. There's no real arguement to say he hasn't regresed.
