Robbie's Origin career now over

I haven't read much of this thread as Robbie is my most favourite player in the team by far. But after the last couple of weeks I think he needs to re-evaluate his priorities and options…....
I feel like crying.
PLEASE Robbie....... 😛ray: ramp it up for the team.

Let's see - we made 2 linebreaks for the game and guess who threw the pass for both of them? Yep Robbie Farah. 41 tackles too - 2nd most for the team. Looked the most likely to create chances for us all night. Made an effective complaint to the refs (penalties went from 1-3 to 6-5 last time I took notice - a 5-2 turnaround).

Some of you guys must be watching a different game. If your only criticism is he kicked the ball backwards for a penalty he can't be going too bad. Oh and he produced a smart piece of play for our only try.

If Farah could have passed to himself we probably win the game.

Robbie is a champ. It's pretty hard to shine when half the team is injured, and a select few are not up to first grade standard. Don't worry, when we get some of our players back and the team starts to get some consistency, he will shine again.

Nah….There is something going on. Robbie was always in the running for MOM last year...regardless of the team performance.
1\. Playing dummy half wastes his attacking potential.
2\. 75% (give or take 10%) of the time his options aren't nearly as effective as they have been (esp in the kicking dept).
3\. He seems angry - sort of like "a workman blaming his tools". Too many arguments with the ref.
4\. I don't think he is happy with Lui.
Just observations.

Yeah agree with what you say but think it is not that he is unhappy with Lui Just doesn't have confidence in him Probably same thing really

Yeah exactly. I agree.

I said in another post that Benji has kept us in the race this year…well Rob has been right there beside him for the most part.

People are singling out his mistakes. What about the tries and try assists from him this year? Top that off with leading the tackle count most games.

Have any of you ever played the game? :bash

Fair dinkum, a hooker does not organise the ruck, its the half backs job. With our piss poor number 7's the forwards lack direction, thus Farrah is left at the ruck with nothing on offer. The last 20 minutes clearly showed that when Farrah moved to 7 and miller to 9, Robbie created direction and opportunities within minutes.

Current hookers who play well with a true number 7,

Michael Ennis and Trent Hodkinson
Cameron Smith and Cooper Cronk
Aaron Payne and J. Thurston
Dean Young and Ben Hornby
Cameron Smith and J. Thurston (QLD)

Past Successes
Robbie Farrah and Scott Prince
Danny Buderus and Andrew Johns
Walters and Langer
etc etc etc

Your post makes a lot of sense, Cats Fan

I agree that it hasn't been all one-sided. Yes his mistakes have been pretty significant however as you state he has also provided plenty of good plays.

Against the dogs he looked so much better than Lui & Miller it wasn't funny.

We expect a lot from Robbie, in part I think thats why he's copped so much criticism here on the forum. I guess he is one of our top players and needs to deliver.

I don't think he has played that badly this year, he has made some stupid decisions, but he has also made plenty of good ones, he may not be playing to the high standard that we have become familiar with, but he has been reasonably solid. I expect the whole team to lift in the coming weeks as we get some of our long term injured players back, and I expect Robbie to lift with them.

We are still in the eight, and I expect we will be come September.

Ennis has won most of his head to head contests with Farah and tonight was a knock out.

Robbie seems to be in career worst form.

Yes and the more Ennis plays SOO, the better he will become.
