Robert Row-chow

With some of our off-season signings ie Rochow, Thompson, Godinet it goes to show Cleary has an excellent grasp of securing unheralded (and cheap) committed toilers to buy into a plan and get the job done…

A lot of love for Aloiai I've noticed, I wouldn't make a change Rochow has stood out in every game I've seen so far, MCK was good and his late offloads were chook killers.

Surprised how few people remember how good he was at the knights. He was one of their best consistently and it was injuries and going to Souths that set him back.

I liked him at Knights, but he was a class above what I was hoping for this season.

Makes things very interesting when Aloiai returns.

I think MCK has to stay. He has done everything required of him. I'd definitely pick Aloiai as well though. We either have 4 forwards on the bench or one of Eisenhuth or Lawrence drop off.

we cannot be sentimental here…. in a like for like swap, Lawrence is the lowest hanging fruit out of himself Aloiai, Rochow and MCK. It just is what it is...

be hard to drop after that effort. Mcqueen will probably be in nsw cup for a while

I suppose the question is who drops off. I'd love 3 middle forwards on the bench and MCK but there is no way we have an 80 minute hooker to do that. That means at some point someone is missing out. MCK has been one of our best in the trials and yesterday so he has to stay.

Aloiai can definitely play in the middle of the field. I'd consider having him as a prop replacement and having Eisenhuth rotating with ET. If he is considered in the backrow then I agree that Lawrence is the right option to leave out.

Cant ET fill in at hooker during the game to give the 9 a rest. Seemed to do a good job of it at the end of last year.

This is exactly the situation we were hoping for with Ivan signing so much depth , rather than a combination of few stars (Tedesco, Woods, Moses) and lot of fringe players.
The win yesterday was reminiscent of previous sides coached by Ivan Cleary.

MCK is s goer, but there are better options once we have guys who are back and match fit. Aloiai and McQueen are both in front of him when fully fit.

I love the 'Moneyball' approach of Cleary and we are so solid across the park. We do however, need to sign a couple of stars with X-factor to ensure we can score enough points to win games longer term.

Still think young Cleary is the answer at half back and for consistent goal kicking. A gun Centre and FB maybe (hope Lolo makes it his).

Not if he is making 50 + tackles a game. The guy needs a break.
