Roster Breakdown: 2024-2029

Latu Fainu, Samuela Fainu, Heamasi Makasini, Taylan May, Terrell May, Fonua Pole, Sunia Turuva all come off contract at the end of next year. That's in addition to Bula coming off contract this year. Geez our retention team have their work cut out for them.

Hope to hear some good news on that front soon.

I think Tony Sukkar is off contract too.
Id be looking to keep him also.

* Id be looking to shop Starford Toa and get him off the roster.

* Externally, id be looking at Matt Timoko from the Raiders.

Adding some more depth to our squad, with some cup signings. We didn't keep Krystian Mapapalangi, however young winger Jordan Hill, is one I always saw promise in. Id be getting him in the cup team, as well as Bulas best mate, Trey Peni.

Always worth looking at Penriths depth too - stuck behind their starters. They've got some talent floating around there.

Now would be a good time to shop Toa should Benji see him as surplus to requirements, multiple sides are desperate for centers, especially ones that play right side. Dragons, cows, storm, dogs etc...
 
I have no doubt Toa will be getting offers (even if off the record) from PNG and Perth and am not fussed if he takes one.

I think a starting pairing of Taylan and Timoko with Sunia and Maka on the wing, would be unreal.

Don't wanna harp on about Toa, he's got his good and his bad - im not a fan.

See how he pulls up over coming weeks but I think Timoko would be an upgrade.

Has Timoko played much centre?
 
Sisagi has been on a tear for them this year. One of their few shining lights. No surprise they have gotten off to a poor start. It’s how things went the years after their previous big seasons in 16 and 19. Ricky has a big problem in keeping them consistent, year to year.

I have watched them three times and to me they look like they are just standing around waiting for it to happen or the person standing next to them to do something abit like Brisbane at times

Last year they all had a proactive approach

Penrith have so many players off contract November 1, could be worth a loon if any of our guys leave or we have holes to fill in the squad

I noted that a zerotackle article when they signed their contracts last year had them upgraded to top 30 in '27 but I know they do speculate at times. The club media release didn't include the details at the time either.

Based on the West Tigers website the years are correct.

The main reason I think they are is nbwt Twitter. That guy is all over our juniors & pathways.
