Roster Breakdown: 2024-2029

Is this our 29 contracted top 30 players assuming we re-sign Sukkar and Mason?

1. Bula /Mason
2. Turuva / ???
3. Averillo / Herbert
4. May / Saukuru
5. Makasini / Tupou
6. Doueihi / Andrews
7. Fainu / Madden
8. May / Fainu
9. Korisau / Haywood
10. Twal / Seyfarth
11. Pearce-Paul / Sukkar
12. Fainu / Roberts
13 Frizell/ Murray

14. Brailey
15. Mann
16. Pole
17. Hunt

** If this is correct, we definitely need someone of quality who is a genuine contender or back up to play right centre or right wing.
** Both Makasini and Saukuru have previously looked like fish out of water when being asked to play on the right, rather than their favoured left side of the field and I think it’s a similar story with Taylan May.

Tavana is on a development deal... Plays right side.

The few on Dev & T&T are promising.

Attard, Bryntenon (however it's spelt)

None of them are an option at right centre and not really NRL options at right wing either.
Mikey Nasser is potentially a right wing option, but I’m pretty sure he favours playing on the left also.

What positions are you wanting improvement?
Already for 2028 we will likely need forward replacements for Frizell, Mann, Hunt and possibly Pole if he doesn’t re-sign with us.
i was referring to 27 , basically half our squad is off contract for 28
Im a get your forwards busting through the middle and the rest will take care of its self

Ethan Bullemore is supposedly available, would he help?
He hits top speed a lot quicker than all our current forwards, with Pole the only one that comes close, so he would at least add a point of difference.

liked him when at souths, this discussion started with 1 spot open 27$,400-900 preferer Paseka
No will to debate-sorry ,lost love for the way the game is played for the last 10/15 yrs, just only hanging on

part 2 , wouldn't hurt ,he's a good work horse - Latrell aint the answer ,but we need some freak that can open a game at will/when switched on , forward or back

From Shaun Mielekamp in his thread:

Christian Taupau-Moors is a Dev deal in 27
Archie Duncombe is on a pathway deal with a T&T in the future
Charlie Murray is in the top 30
Pheonix Godinet is on a dev deal for 2027
Still working on the official announcements for Mason and Sukkar
Bryenton T&T
Charlie Murray played 43 minutes of first grade in 2026, not even getting time with all our injuries. Why would they now include him in the top 30 (which he wasn't in last year)?

I think he plays both sides, he originally a fullback and I know as a junior he had no problem playing both sides. He made his debut in NSW Cup on the right wing. Tavana has been good on the right side too, both of them are still young, hopefully we are blessed with few injuries next season if our top side stays on the park it looks strong.

I still have a bit of faith in Murray. Never be a world-beater but could develop into a decent bench option with time. I would've cut Mason loose, though
Murray is tough workhorse, you need those players in your team, even Mason goes okay I think if he gets a position locked down he could grow into it and be good for us.

I heard on a news report Paseka is on $1M ?!?!?! Thats the reason why Manly are trying to off load him to create cap space otherwise they are losing Lehi Hoppa.

From what I’ve seen Mikey appears to be taller, has a stronger build, has stronger yardage carries and looks quicker than Tavana.
Not taking anything away from Tavana’s rapid rise last season, but I think he would need to again improve a lot to be an NRL player that can be relied on more regularly.
