Round 1, 12 March 2005

Lol, this has absolutely nothing to do with 2014\. Stupid post.

Point is we went on to win the grand final that year and got demolished in the first game of the season :crazy

Thanks Tiger!

Let's compare each round this year to that of 2005 can't see too much alignment happening………

No enthusiasm in our den! That's the big difference!

Some leaders within our group just don't want to adapt maybe we can leave him on the gold coast

Wests Tigers- 12
Parramatta Eels- 28

Got thumped.

I dont know if you are old enough to remember Milky, but that Parramatta squad were terrific and choked their way out of a possible premiership that year in the major semi.

Round 2 we had high scoring win over the bulldogs in 2005\. So a high scoring win over the titans next week could be on the cards.

Stupidest thread I've ever seen… Can't compare a side from 9 years ago mate, teams lose round 1 and win comps all the time, but our current side doesn't have 1/10th of the quality our 2005 team did.

Good post.

Round 1 is not enough of a sample to start giving out wooden spoons. Take a look at last year's ladder in round 1\. Eels no. 1

I'm confidently tipping us to win next week. Will put some money on those juicy odds too

Good luck, if we play like that the Titans team of speedsters will put 70 on us.

Point of this post isnt "we lost by a big margin like in 2005 and next week we will win by a big margin just like 2005" The point is to stay postive and its a big chance that we can still make the 8.

The only thing similar to 2005 is back then we were wooden spoon favourites at $2.12 (I worked at Centrebet at the time) this year sadly the spoon is ours.

I thought wests-tigers had a bye in 2nd round in 2005, and then next game beat the bulldogs by a field goal, in the last minutes. I could be wrong.

I only ever worked in their IT department and I hated their practices, they are arseholes to say the least.

Yeah our big win against the dogs definitely came towards the end of 05, when we were flying home.

Parra was the only team we did not beat that year, if I recall correctly

hmm my post wasn't too far off!

although i didnt put any money on it cause i thought the heat could affect us negatively like it did last week, but it seems not!
