Entertaining game. I reckon if tigers think they are going to get an advantage by throwing it around this year might need to reassess…

I thought Parra looked disjointed and in attack lost tonight. Hodgson was solid but he struggled big time during the game, often wouldn’t get back for 2-3 hitups onside and wasn’t covering the left side when Parra had momentum for some reason.

It was a typical round 1 struggle game I thought.

Yeah thought Hodgson was a mixed bag. At least 4 forward passes not called too.

My business partner who is a parra supporter was talking Hodgson up today and they wouldn’t miss Mahoney that much... I was like mmmm maybe lol

Geez don’t know too many who would say that.
Mahoney has years ahead of him, is already as good if not better and isn’t coming back from his 3rd knee recon. Hodgson tried hard but was well off the pace I thought which is to be expected coming back from a long layoff.

Hopgood is very good, potential future rep player.
Was highly rated at Panthers.
Different player to Paps though but can see long term why they might think that.
