Round 1: Las Vegas Discussion / *Spoilers*

You'd still be starting from 9th on the ladder. 8 teams having lost will have a negative for and against
Good point. I guess I was trying to make the point that after 15 years in the wilderness, it’d be rough having to give 8 sides a jump on us.

At least we can play our first game and climb to the top of the table with a big enough win.

It’s largely not that important, but a little psychological edge possibly.

Dude you’re getting way too hyped over this . The fairness is in the fact that 2 teams slogged their guts out for 80 mins and it ended in a draw.
They each get 1 point each .
Now because the game has gone into overtime and broadcasters need a result , that overtime equates to a further point .
It doesn’t really affect anything , and I watch plenty of hockey , and teams that win in overtime or lose in overtime a lot , tend to be really good teams . So the idea that a team that wins more outright will be supplanted by a team who draws in overtime/ GP doesn’t really make sense. Because those further 10 minutes are 10 minutes that the other team didn’t have to play .
I think I said this already , it’s not a punishment for teams who didn’t win in GP or take teams there , but rather a reward for teams who did, and don’t get the chocolates.
anyways it was just another point of thought , it’s not really a hill I’m willing to die on , just an alternate idea . Definitely not worth the energy being put into it .
I'm not sure why you think I am in some tailspin about this. I'm perfectly fine.

Probably best to leave it here anyway.
