Round 1 team

I havent seen enough of Gower but he didnt impress me as much in his one first grade game as I had hoped given the hype here. Simon Dwyer is a far bigger talent.

mate he only played around 10 mins in that game.

mate you wanna listen to the hype about GOWER but get funny when we talk about the hype of LUI

I hope you get to see more of Gower. If you get the opportunity too I hope you take it. Gower is very talented and it does my head in that we haven't seen him given more opportunity in 1st grade, but every cloud has a silver lining and I thank our lucky stars to have him playing for BRET. But he deserves to take his career beyond state cup and I hope he gets to.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Gower line up for the Eagles next year. It seems likely they will lose either Perry or Kite at the end of the season, possibly both, and Gower would be a pretty good pick up. Getting a chance to play under Hasler, and with the a representative backrow, could be pretty tempting for the big guy if he doesn't taste much first grade this year.

My team:

1\. Moltzen/Brown
2\. Tuqiri
3\. Ayshford
4\. Lawrence
5\. Ryan

6\. Marshall
7\. Lui / Moltzen

8\. Gibbs
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway
11\. Ellis
12\. Heighington
13\. Fulton

14\. Brown/ Moltzen /Lui
15\. Moors
16\. Payten
17\. Cayless

1\. Moltzen

3\. Ayshford

14\. Brown
15\. Moors
16\. Payten
17\. Cayless

Ellis will be 11, because he is always 11{ same as Hindmarsh} Fulton will be 12, because both second rowers play 4 in from the sideline. This is the way almost all teams play this way. Heighington will be 13 & play in the middle with both props & hooker. This is the way almost all teams do it, not the Eels though because Hindmarsh likes no. 11\. That is why Paton played 13 & Burgess & stewart & Gallen & Stagg & Parker & Luck & Crocker & Young for example but not Anasta or Lewis or Mateo….So these days they are just backrowers like in the Super League, where its just a number.

according to the members only training you can scratch payten from your first round team.

I wasn't confident the big fella would be right for round 1\. Opens the door for Mataka or Schirnack I guess.

Our attack is 25% better when Payten plays,so if he is out it will be a big blow

I haven't been paying much attention over the trials, but how confident are people with Lui in 7?

I seem to recall last year people falling over themselves for

6.Marshall
7.Moltzen

one things for sure, we need to settle on a permanent half and full back if we are serious about finishing in the top 8.

Consistency, Consistency, Consistency - This is what the Tigers need for the 2010 season if they are to return to the finals for the first time since their premiership victory in 2005.

HOW about a consistant halfback sheensy ?

What I would probably pick and I think Sheens will too… I don't think Lui will play the full 80 either.

I'd expect Sheens to give Brown the nod sooner rather than later in the game, as result he'll shuffle the halves around with Moltzen playing half when Brown is on the field.

Another possible option if they wanted to give Lui a rest and put Moltzen to halfback would be Fitzhenry on the bench. Then they could put him onto the wing and give Lote a go at fullback.

Just a feeling… no inside knowledge there.

TBH i wouldn't be suprised if he reshuffles the side before the kick off and get the Tigers to run out like this, with Lui on the bench.

14\. Brown
2\. Tuquiri
3\. Lawrence
4\. Ayshford
5\. Ryan

6\. Marshall
1\. Moltzen

kaiser i would like to see that as well but i dont think sheens will do that. he will start with Lui at half and moltzen at fullback

You're probably right… But I just wouldn't be surprised to see a few chairs shuffled.
