LIVE GAME Round 1 vs Knights

Live Game Discussion
Man Galvin needs to learn to be more of a team player, even with a 4x premiership winning half he still hogs the ball. He killed us many times tonight
I agree with you, Galvin has a tendency to be a ball hog or attempt to be a hero. He needs to settle his game & learn to trust the other players.

The criticism of Galvin reminds me of the criticism of Moses. We lost a great one there.

Lets not do it again 🙂 Give him time.

When the half is quiet and not involved, we call for him to be involved. When he's in everything he can be in, he's doing too much.

Luai was great, but he should have been guiding Galvin.
Not sure that Luai was great, more a solid 1st up run but think he ran out of puff in the 2nd half. Should only improve.
We still don’t know how to convert winnable games.

They just needed to come right sometimes when attacking the line. So many times in that 2nd half we had them shot to pieces with a big overlap on our right side yet they just continually went left. Hopefully with Api's vision they can rectify that next week.

I mean, I'm not Cooper Cronk or JT but I noticed Galvin overplaying every set.. so did most people on the forums judging by other peoples comments?
I'm a big fan of Galvin and hope he does well, but the kid needs to take a backseat to Luia and stop trying to score on every single play.
Keen to see them together with Api and Bula though, could be the difference maker.
Neither am I. But week 1 new halves FFS. People are paid to think about this not us. For those that have played in the halves at any level - things don’t work perfectly off the bat. Appreciate your view

Laui was missing in action , he was very poor in attack.
But it all comes back to BENJIs coaching, no backline plays , tried to go up the middle all day , and where was the coach’s direction to get it wide , it never changed, so u can say he never sent out instructions about it , because as a coach I would have been on the side line demanding they do what I want

Ok Mr coach - latu? All happy for that - but 1 game of new combo. We just almost won a game against a top 8 side
I'm not saying Galvin isn't the answer but at the moment he is part of the problem. It wasn't just this game where he overplayed his hand - he did the same in the trials. We paid 1.2 million to get a world class half and Galvin still tries to take on every play - there were times he spent more time running backwards and forward across the park to get involved in plays that he didn't need to be in. Benji needs to either reign him in and teach him to pick his moments. If he is not prepared to do that then yeah i would drop him.

Not disagreeing with anything you say. Week 1. Coach Benj decision.

You didn't see them rolling up into the red zone almost every set
- Then bombing it when they went wide and their coach continually screaming at them for it?
Then you didn't see us kicking from inside our own half for most of the game, Barely challenging the kick return...

It's on again a bit later if you wanna run it again.
Eh not on first watch. Saw it differently. I thought May, Twal, Pole did a good job for most of the game. Sam Fainu was quiet. I remember a 10-15 minute period where knights didnt have a tackle in our half. Their backs cut us to pieces for large parts of the 2nd half.

Im as jaded as anyone but there were some flashes in the game that got me excited.
Knight are a professional side who have been together for a few years now, they looked much more connected than our guys. I think that was the difference.
