Out of our 1-17, Bula, Turuva, Luai, May, Api, Fainu’s and TDS are the only players that should be here in 2-3 years.

I turned it off at HT and picked 66 nil - wasn’t far off. . We looked likely to bag a try or two early on … had line speed, shape and I thought we looked the better team till paps scored a few. Had to get them early! . And we didnt. We got smoked by a more desperate side. We were very very long odds - shame cause I think we are a top 8 side but we lack so much depth. Once the momentum swung, we were out of it

I'm not this optimistic. In that Warriors game, a lot of the Storm points were scored around a sin bin. After halftime they showed some grit, only conceding one try and scoring a couple themselves. We were terrible in both halves and no one except Bula showed anything of note.

It was interesting the passivity of our play after we had a good first set. Watching paps play and not really competing.

Attacking movements were flat with everyone looking around, no one running on.

Defensive sets usually started with decent effort in the tackle, but then 2nd and 3rd tackle efforts were almost always weak and we were on the back foot.

Sure, Melbourne were good, but we applied no pressure and had no resilience so it's easy to be good then. Take the bomb for the first try. Galvin is marker and stands and watches Munster run forward and put up a bomb. Why was there no effort? Lots of those little moments from our players across the game.

Galvin looked particularly inept, Staines didn't know how to play centre. But it was just a huge disconnect, players obviously intimidated by the occassion. How does that happen?

Luai, Bula seemed up for it, not much else.

I'd like us to be a team who match good teams on their good days, who enjoy that sort of match, who have that fire that means this sort of result is unacceptable to them.

Today's a nice day for all those ex tigers to look at the club and say, 'yep, I'm glad I'm not there'.

The big question for our current team is if this is the start of them breaking or if this moment is the point at which they take a good look at themselves and improve.

Finally, I think we got the feeling that this team was different from recent years. But this is right back where we were unfortunately and that's a pretty glum reminder.
