Need Jarome to step up and take control, start earning his wage. Mason a threat running the ball but is pretty lacking in all other areas (at the moment).

Mason is a big upgrade from what we were getting at 5/8. Luai needs to step up here. Staines at wing and Naden on the bench are big weak links.
Just don’t play Charlie in the centres ever again.Staines has been fine since coming back.
Naden should be walked off site.

You’d have to think Mason would of been pushing up against Souths when Api needed support. They need Mason to hover around Api and the middles on the inside. Cowboys have let points in via teams over working the middle all season.
Staines is a depth player. His place in the team is understandable given Skelton is injured.Staines has been fine since coming back.

That was one of the worst pieces of play I have seen from this team in a long time. And that covers a lot of ground. You’d have to think Mason would of been pushing up against Souths when Api needed support.
Said a lot to me about the energy in the group. Effort was up on the Melbourne game but some signs things were still pretty low. It was clear to me LG had to go after that. That was one of the worst pieces of play I have seen from this team in a long time. And that covers a lot of ground.
Agreed that Luai needs to be good, but he'll need help. Can Mason execute a three pass shift out of our own end? Cause that has been our strength - get to the 40m line with a quick PTB on 3rd or 4th tackle, then execute a long shift to try and put the centre or winger away. Galvin, while complete crap in the red zone attack, was very good at executing this move. Hopefully Mason has composure and can fit into our systems. This is the game luai needs to prove he is a 7 this game he is definitely going to have full control of the team mason is an out and out 6 and wont be hogging the ball like Galvin so it leaves luai no choice but to make this game his
He's gonna get Diddy freaky on our asses!!!I can't wait to see what brilliant penalty/error he has in store for us this week. I bet it's something no one has thought of before.
Agree. I'd like to see what Sione can do with more minutes. Looks as strong as any of our props post contact.Think I’d start Sione and keep Hunt on bench.
haven't really watched mason outside of first grade but from people who have told me that his passing game is actually pretty good and as we all know his footwork is pretty good I think in an attacking sense he will give us some strike and I can easily see him getting a couple line breaks or line breaks assist against a pretty ordinary cowboys defence I don't think mason kicks are the best so luai is going have to do most of the kicking which he has struggled but I think he has been steadily improving especially his long kicking game last few games he would come up with the odd good kick but also think api should have some kicks from dummy half to give some variety with our kicks which he has been recently tbf, overall I just think luai should make this game his similar to how he did against sharks last year which won him the blues jumper last year and I think mason will step back and allow luai to do so and pick his moments to have a real impact in the gameAgreed that Luai needs to be good, but he'll need help. Needs to pick his moments when to pass early. Most of our tries come from slick shifts on our right edge.I would like for Mason to keep his game simple. Play to his strength (which is his running game) and straightens out attack rather then running cross field and defend well.
Really hope Sukkar sees some more minutes this week. Does he play on Bateman’s side? hope he pulls off a couple of bone rattlers like he did against Souths.
