Would not be surprised to see Charlie Murray get a run this week.

How do we boost our prop rotation? Move our #13, who is a prop, out of #13.

Murray is a worker. Good tackle rate, good metres per game. Naden offers little.

And Bird can cover the backs. If Mason can cover dummy half at a pinch, it's almost the right mix to cover any kind of onfield mishap.

He played Rd 1 vs knights at fullback and although nippy off the mark he got smashed a few times and dropped a couple of bombs
His small stature makes him a bit of a target

Well he shouldn’t have to worry about the bombs this weekend or getting smashed as receiving the ball in the front line around players is completely different from returning kicks or catching a bomb at the same time the defender lines you up.
I think he will do fine.

To me that just re-enforces our lack of quality depth at the moment.

that 'early season form' is a myth. he played decent in half a trial game, and for who knows what reason, people think he was in good form early in the season.. Hes a terrific reserve grader who is too slow and doesn't do the 1%ers in firsts.

I’m certain Mason is a genuine NRL player in the making, but we have thrown him in at the deep end only having played one game at 5/8 in NSW Cup all season, now expected to step up and keep our NRL season alive.
I think he will do some good things in attack, but I’m concerned about his defence as playing 5/8 in the front line is very different to defending as a fullback.
