LIVE GAME Round 14 v the Panthers

Live Game Discussion
Errors are errors. I cop that.
Makasini shoulder charge?
6 Set restarts?
thats not on our boys

Cause and effect. Those early errors cost us immediately, and again throughout the half, with us then from suffering the defensive fatigue and six agains that they attributed towards.

As for Makasini, apart from the refs, I blame Benji nearly as much. He needed to call the constant attacks on him out in the pressers weeks ago. I don’t think we see the hits of the past two matches go without penalty if he had.

Now let us hope that the boys can lift to win the second half.

Penrith made us pay for those 6 1st half errors.

A mercy rule is a regulation in sports that ends a game early when one team has a significantly large lead over the other, to prevent further humiliation for the losing team. It is commonly used in youth sports and varies by sport and level of competition

Tavana, Makasini, Geyer, Murray, Seyfarth are not first grade standard.
That’s 5 out of 17.

We put ourselves under that early pressure. Through our own mistakes. Gave them territory, dropped balls, shocking offloads, missed tackles.

But you said it wasn’t our fault.
You said it was rigged.

Which I disagreed with.
Surprised you’re still arguing that when it’s 36-0 at halftime.
Im arguing the influence that first 20 minutes has now had on the rest of the game. That wasnt our fault. That is rigged. It happened against the storm too. It happened last week with the one way set restarts that the dogs copped. Its not the first time this is happening to the wests tigers.

I am somewhat making exceptions for the team because no team is not conceding 24 points from penrith with 20% of the ball in the first 20 minutes.

So i bring it back to why penrith had 6 restarts and penalties in that first 20 (all on 3rd and 4th tackles) and the tigers had just one.

Why is it that the nrl in general is having LOTS of games like this.?

Its a directive from the referees bosses as to how they adjudicate the game... but it isnt consistent.. it changes each week depending on who is playing. Because its a directive from the referees bosses.

I love the game of rugby league.. but what we have seen this is year veering too far from the grest game we know..

Thanks to the refs for starting to give us to start evening up the penalty stats now we are down by 36 - doesnt look as bad come review time that way.. but the damage has been done.
