Anyone else think Hitchcox should be in firsts if Tedesco is out?

I like Hitchcox a lot but he impresses me more in the centres. He was fantastic against the Bulldogs in the centres the week before.

I am not a Meaney fan at all. He has had one decent game in firsts but has otherwise been quite inept when called up. Meaney must get rid of the errors from his game. If he doesnt, then yes I would give Hitchcox a go.

I think I would actually prefer Nofo to play 1 ahead of both of them if Teddy is out again.

He did a lot of work vs the Vulcans but when he does a hit up doesn't hit the line with enough power.

He (I assume we're still talking about Groat) didn't but he's not really that sort of player. He's more a power player who uses his strength. If he produce that sort of performance in first grade I'd be happy but there are a number of players who work hard at State Cup and then become spectators in the NRL. Ed Pettybourne comes to mind. Maybe they think Woods will do all the hard work - I thought it was noticeable some players were far more productive last night. Even Blair cracked 100m…

Pettybourne coming off was the best thing that happened to the side. He was disgraceful even his try and after showed he didn't really give a crap

Was it Pettybourne who was interviewed during the game? Whoever it was not able to conceal the fact he didn't give a rats about the game or the team. Compared to Groat who at least made the right noises after the game it was a sharp distinction.

His attitude this year has been ordinary, you can always tell a forwards attitude when they arm grab and get brushed in defence.

Maybe if they can leave him there long enough in the Cup he will ask for a release. He obviously seems disinterested to be here at the Tigers.

What a load of crap about Pettybourne. He was genuinely disappointed with his form this year and knows he needs to pick it up to get back to his best. The fact he has been playing with an ankle impingement all year, requiring cortisone to get through doesn't help. To say he didn't c.are yesterday is stupid, he was riding the boys home from the sideline and Wrapping players in the team he had just met.

Good to hear mate. Like the others I thought he came across as a bit interested on tv but that it could be explained for other reasons, such as not being confident with the media. We have to remember that some of the players are not great with the media and you should not always read too much into it.

Hitchcox played fullback for Gold Coast 20s two years running also a bit with Storm cup team. First played centres last year with Balmain Eastwood Ryde, He infact with the wests side has played fullback/centre and wing. He was going extremely good this time last year when he got a bad ankle injury in the semis. He is getting back into that form now. I would say he is not in wests allocated players for NRL. He is one of the fastest and most dangerous backs in the Wests outfit.

Wests are on Fox again this week are they not?

You could clearly see on Hitchcox's face where some gutless coward had shoved a busted beer glass in his face a few months back. Must of been a nasty gash when it happened.

Can't believe they class that as not a shoulder charge because of a technicality. Facing only 4 weeks on the sideline

Yep it was pretty bad. Interesting to see what happens if someone like Blair pulled off a hit like that. Depends who you are I guess, always has been-always will be.

might have been something to do with suffering an injury and feeling a bit down about it
