My take homes from this -

1. The Cowboys game was just a fluke. We hoped it was the start of something fun, but no.

2. The NRL is going to one day get some massive laws suit over concussion if they don't clamp down on "bumper bars" and suspend Tino for at least three weeks.

Humans don't have bumpers, they have forearms and elbows. The arms need to be tucked into the body to brace for contact or to use the hand to fend. You're not allowed to push your forearm forwards into the head of shorter players.

Parents with small kids who wannt to play league will be watching how this pans out.

Outplayed us from the get go. Our schoolboy errors only compounded matters.

And a lot of fringe players like Talau and Wakeham went back miles.

Add in we just lost most of our spine for months.

i.e. we won't win another game.

Can't expect much yet.

And we, literally, have no 6-7 of first grade standard left to pick.

For us its what was talked about openly on the forum as a potential disaster in the off-season has happened last night.
Only good thing is it will give the club a clear indication how bad we really need Brooks. Either noone will come within a mile to step up for us or someone will surprise us all and maybe we get really lucky and unearth a gem noone thought of. Who, iv got no idea I'm just reaching for hope cause the way it looks it's dour for us for the rest of the season. Like last year wasn't bad enough for us poor Tiger supporters.

Yep, we need a JWH type player to instill a bit of mongrel into our players. You could see how they reacted to Bateman having a go at Bumper Tino.

We as usual give away first penalty then defend line well only for Blore to cold drop the ball and back under pressure ( why blore in 13 and pole on bench )
After that we were terrible Talau plus a few more our left side is weak again
Got totally outplayed but sick of Tino taking players out . He never even cops a penalty ?
No Api ,No Brooks ,Hope no more Talau ,no hope ,Wakeham so slow
Season goal avoid spoon finish 15th?

He was terrible but we didn't have the cattle to replace him.

The idea which is a good idea is Bateman plays as a lock forward who can ball play and Blore plays on the edge.

I would have done this and I'd do it again.

Blore isn't coming on as well as what you'd expect though and I can see why they are shopping him around.

Just not in the Tigers culture, they have no idea how to play consistently at first grade standard. Has been an issue for some time now.

This is about leadership on the park.

We are rudderless, Loosing API proved it.

After a bit of time to digest our performance last night, I don't like to lay the blame on 1 or 2 players but in this instance the performances of Wakeham (being our main playmaker for most of the game) & Talau (in a key defensive position).

If these two delivered performances similar to against Cowboys even Canberra, we go close if not win!
