Why have the Warriors improved so much under Payten when it’s not even his roster? I thought coaches needed their own roster to perform. Strange.

Good man manger by the looks of things. Gets the best from what he has. Signs of a good coach.

Well Payton was always expected to be the long term successor to Sheens.

Might happen one day (Payten) as our coach.

We haven’t beaten a quality team all year. Payten has taken a team playing terribly and has them firing. They’re playing a good style of football too. Madge could learn a lot from how Payten is coaching.

This is their first win against a top 8 team all season. He’s got them going good for sure but I’m not gonna say he’s some amazing coach, big difference between a whole season and a couple months.

What do you think he’s done? They don’t even seem to be playing different just playing with more intensity and effort. I’m curious to see what he’s done behind the scenes to get them going, we were doing it a few weeks ago and now we’ve dropped off.

I don’t know what he’s done, I’m not privy to the dealings of the Warriors. But I hope Madge is trying to find out because it seems to me he’s completely run out of ideas.

And you’re right they’ve beaten only one top 8 team all year, but that’s still one more than us.

I don’t think Madge is out of ideas, I think he’s trying to give the boot to as many of our average players as he can and they know it.

We beat sharks who are a top 8 team, but they’re the worst team in the 8 ? interested to see if there’s any more changes to the coaching staff next season I’m hoping so

Agree to disagree re Madge. The style we’re playing matched with him continually playing poor performers indicates he’s either run out of ideas or he’s given up.

He’s played every single player in our squad, so clearly he’s not happy with how they’re playing so I don’t think he’s continually playing poor performers. Benji the only one I wouldn’t have in the team at the moment.

You’re right he’s the only one, Doueihi has played just about every game so no room for Smith who will most likely be gone after this year

You’re right he’s the only one, Doueihi has played just about every game so no room for Smith who will most likely be gone after this year

So watching the Warriors, the difference in their game now is simply effort, enthusiasm and hunger. They are competing in every play instead of just going through the motions- which is what we are now doing!

I have a feeling some of our players seem to think so sooner than later...

I’m out if that happens. Keep rubbish low performing losing mentality players (over many years and clubs) against a coach who wants to win (but may well be difficult) it should be a non decision by management

If the players get another say in who we choose as coach the club is done. Surely they learnt from what happened the first time and guess who (Payton) was front and centre at that.

Any player agitating for a coaching change should be reviewed and dropped never to return.

It’s not Like we are dealing with any messi’s in our team.
