LIVE GAME Round 16 v Dolphins

Live Game Discussion
They are both trying hard and I’m a big fan of Sione, so I was happy to see him score 2 tries today, but we all know he’s a touch slow particularly in defence to be a genuine NRL quality edge back rower and I think we can say the same for Sukkar who I think has a better chance of future success as a prop.We have absolutely zero NRL quality edge back rowers outside of our injured pair and I honestly cannot see us beating the Dragons unless we fix it by recruiting prior to June 30.
Then we have the problem of very minimal speed, tackle break ability, genuine x-factor and defensive ability within our 2-5.

I agree with everything you have said here mate but your changing the subject im talking about lol....mistakes.....mistakes mistakes....that the easy fix and we have ti get it righr

sione and Pole mistakes are so bad. They need to think run hard first, play the ball speed and worry about offload if the chance comes up.

The other thing that does my head in is Luai not knowing it’s the last or trying trick plays on the last. To do that the first set out of half time cost us a try and momentum straight up. I can recall twice against the Panthers and one last week were it seems he didn’t know what the tackle count was

I admire your optimism mate but history has me scarred, the injuries have to stop now and our good players coming back in will be the only thing that will save us, starting next week.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s tough, but with some luck the players we should be starting to get back are better than the players we lost today. It’s a start, and a long way from the fat lady blowing out a few notes.

The war is far from over and trust me, no quitter has ever won anything. If the boys have given up….. then yes, go to spoon rocks when the footy is on 😁 but if they think they are alive, then so are we all.

Leichhardt. I think that is a better suggestion than Birchgrove.

Thanks for your comment.
You should change your user name to Balmaintigers. Leichhardt is all good for the blow in fan/media but we aren’t building a side around the inner west. Talk as much shit about Campbelltown as you want but anyone with ‘intelligence will tell you our future is out here. Can’t blame the people who actually turn up to the stadium for our inept performances

Deadset reamed by the injury stick today & this season!

If Madden & Herbert don't go down, I'm confident we score more tries (Mason negated some chances in the 2nd half) & save more tries due to less fatigue by having more middle rotations (Terrell played 80 mins but was out on his feet).

Gallant effort but we've had very little luck this season in any area.

If by mid you mean Maka than yeah I agree, but today we had no choice and given Herbert is out next week Maka will probably have to play again.
Yep Maka, typo sorry. Agree today we had no choice but even Luke or Tavana are more progressed than the kid so why not put one of them on the bench. In any case, it’s easy for me to coach from the couch, Benji obviously sees what he sees in his selections.

Gutsy effort today imo...especially losing two backs, one our half

Thrre or four crucial close calls...Lanyons knock on lost us momentum they score next set Ithink
Starrs little knock on when Sukkar went over
Sione I think it was almost scoring under the posts.....these moments cost us dearly we need to ice them
Phins are a classy team even with all their outs...a lotta mouthpieces saying theyre Penriths main threat

Beautiful

Honestly I expected a flogging today with the injuries we have been racking up and the lack of depth we currently have. I thought they actually showed a lot of courage to keep trying after losing 2 more players. Past seasons they would have totally given up. They made some silly errors and they need to work on those & play the ball speed. The coaching staff probably need to look at why we have so many shoulder & pec injuries, that has to be something in the training regime.
The club needs to look at getting more depth, sure we kids that may or may not be stars of the future but they are nowhere near ready to be thrown in at the deep end in the NRL. We need to invest more in our coaching and recruitment for lower grades & give the kids the time & support to develop their game.

I'll do that when you change your name to Western Suburbs. Great future...3 from 15. Can't wait
