I dunno....got an example of the belittlement?

He's not my favourite but he doesn't really bother me

Dan Ginnane irks.me.a.little, Brandy has become annoying... Still. Probably like Warren Smith best

His belittling of players is non stop. It's only small things but once you pick up on it he is always doing it. He does it with backhanded compliments. Everytime a player that's middle of the road or worse he does it. Yesterday when Woolford made a good run he says "Woolford with a good 20 metre run, he is normally known for big runs".

He often says stuff like "that's the greatest thing he's ever done" and it will be a minor good thing. It's also combining it with the tone he uses, really condescending.

Maybe belittling isn't the right word. More complimented followed by a little backhander.

I honestly don't think he means to do it, or even realises he does. He is just a bit of a natural smart ass while being a nice bloke too, so he isn't being nasty. It just annoys me though.

The energy from the young players in our team really took its toll on the older Canberra players. Love what Sezer brings to the team. What a difference to how the team functions when he is on the park.
And for all the dramas Fulton caused Benji owes him a gratitude of thanks for his role in getting Samuela Fainu.
Sezer looked like he had a real point to prove. His defence in the middle was inspiring

Haven’t had the height on both sides of the fields until this week.
Should we consider returning Olam to the wing? Just hit it up, bash and barge?
Given the decent speed he showed yesterday, AD could make a good winger too. Would be strong in yardage, good to contest high kicks & may suit him defensively. In writing this, maybe a bit risky taking bombs with his knee history (and how he did it last time). But food for thought!

It’s not really about height. Just the effort to be there makes it a challenge for the FB. One per cent plays we need to keep improving on.

We really made a concerted effort to have at least one player contest high kicks. I noticed that each time we put up a high kick, there was a player running through next to the kicker at speed. Haven't noticed us do it as much in previous games.
No... It seemed like a concerted effort NOT to cemhe the high kicks earlier... Something that bothered me and many others.... Good to see us playing real footy not just meekly hand the ball over... 'here.. Your go'

Yes, a sign that KAYO is absolute shit and a rip off for what they charge.
It's criminal how bad their service continues to be given how much it costs, I'm finding it harder and harder to justify the price tag. Things will never change either, given the monopoly fox has with sports rights here.

Yeah, basically the only sport I watch is Rugby league so I cancel KAYO in the off season.

The NRL are brain dead, they should be leaning on KAYO/FOX to provide a reasonably priced rugby league stand alone type of product as one of the conditions of their televising rights.

I personally would be okay with paying something like $15 - $20 a month for what I currently pay $35 for just Rugby League/Super League content, you would also think that it would be beneficial to the NRL and the game in general as well.

Just as an aside, those KAYO and Hubbl ads are driving me insane.

Congrats to douehi after his 3 reconstructions. I’d written you off. Hopefully you can solidify your spot and be part of the success.
. . . . . . . and learn to tackle better.

Having said that, a very good return and he has always been a dangerous runner, hope the knee holds up okay this time around.

Great win by the boys. Unexpected but so good to see them rip in! But... we need to talk about that sin-binning.

Within the space of 30 seconds there was a tackle reset, penalty and a sin-binning all for minor indiscretions. Seyfarth hardly touches their player and puts his hands up almost straight away and still got 10 in the bin. He can't disappear. What else could he have done?

Would other teams have got that call? I've seen the Storm do similar this year and not even penalised. Is it an unconscious bias from the refs? Do they panic when we are in front as it's not what's expected?

I know we have a dog in the fight and it's hard to keep objective but when I have mates who support other teams bring up how the refs hate us almost every game It's hard to to agree with them.

The other point that is flying under the radar is-------- wait for it!!!!
"Benji's" coaching!!!
Seems to be getting the most out of the new guys. They are listening and sticking to the game plan.
Fiery flair ups gone, brain explosions gone, it's an 80 min. game, want to be here next year, earn it.
Better bench rotations all adding up to better results.

Interestingly Benji said in the presser that he wasn't driving the standards it is the old heads, didn't claim any credit for AD popping up all over the park in attack. Credit to him for deflectting praise to the players for the wins and taking much of the heat during the losses. I think there is a heap of credit that should go to the coaching staff - they set the conditions to enable the performance we say yesterday.

Benji has been adamant that we aren't far off and I think what we saw yesterday was the first real sign of it coming together. There is still plenty of room to improve but the potential was on display.

The Chooks will be down on troops in the backline this weekend so if we can get on the front foot again up the middle we are a chance.

I watched 9 for the first time in years today and it finally convinced me that Fox in fact do have a set against the Tigers. The difference in the coverage of the Wests Tigers from 9 to Fox is blatant.
Yeah, my impression of the Fox commentators is that they seem to get some sort of joy or pleasure when things go against us and even when they believe it's a bad call they still laugh.

Fox duo was embarrassing but was mainly Cronk who questioned almost every tigers try and never a raiders one .However Voss not too bad he had a bit of balance .
If you get Cronk and Ginnane together the bias would be dramatic

I must say I’m enjoying the role Klemmer, Bateman and Ice are playing at present. The three most expensive cheerleaders in the NRL.
I’ve seen Klemmer on TV but not sure if Bateman and Ice are at the games.
Can anybody update ?
If they were there they probably did a Packer and left at half time because it was too cold even though it would have been pretty toasty for Bateman.

Exactly. What I want to know is, if they don't drop the ball then he doesn't get 10 in the bin does he? Terrible ref is Toddy
I think that’s what he pinged him for which was rough when the ref didn’t even know whether he’d allowed play on.
The ref himself lost the plot .He blows the whistle to stop play and then after a confused delay waves play on . The ref was confused ,the commentators were confused and I think the sinbin was a reaction borne out of his embarrassment .No one seemed to know what was going on
