Pretty sure that Luai turned Sione back inside once. Still, I pretty well agree with the rest of it, with Jarome even having to move to the right to get more ball in their 20 from Api, drawing the defence to create an overlap that others weren't able to capitalise on.

He did lay offs on the inside and they’re predictable not creating hesitation the D line… you need someone coming back on the inside and options on the outside to create the defense to question… every lay off he does he doesn’t have options so the D is waiting

It’s just very bad ball playing or bad coaching or both like idk

That game just seemed amatuer night again.
We cannot have a backline that gets outrun like that. The game was ours and we just have too much amatuer in our backs.

At the 70th minute mark, it was still 6 all. The team had a go against the Knights who will make the finals and perhaps the top 4. I am disappointed with the loss but not the effort.

Effort was fine.
Execution with the ball abysmal.

Yes Luai was terrible, he was flat in attack, and the number of one up hits was unbelievable, yet benji stands on the sideline and he can’t get them get deep and use the backline , he has the players respect but Iam starting to wonder if he has the skills to get a team to play good footy

Its a waste of our time us trying to play deep...you need speed, fast players to execute this.

I wouldn't right him off. Alamoti was the same. I thought he would be too slow and just be a gun kid that didn't make it. I have no doubt Maka is better than Alomoti so it will simply come down to his mindset and work ethic. He will make it, but he needs to be brought along correctly. Benji has set him back at least 12 months

Yeah i know. Its a really hard situation. Their styles simply dont gel. I believe Doueihi will be named our next captain either next year of when Luai goes. IMO he is a strong running game changing 6. He is the one we have to be loyal to here, not the guy leaving.

Would it be that terrible to say "hey look, our future is AD and Latu in the halves and we want to fast track that. You 2 just dont bring the best out in each other and our attack suffers. Jerome, you will be the 14 and if your not keen on doing that in 2027 we wont stand in your way leaving early".

Just watched that break again, he was actually getting away from every chaser including Dom Young, bar Ponga, he slowed down to fend ponga when he should have just pinned his ears back and motored for the corner...that's inexperience not a lack of speed.

That game was there to be won.

I've been pumping up Seyfarth for a long time because he has generally been more diamonds than rocks. I was wrong.

His mistakes yesterday were inexcusable. Back to Cup Big Red.

You have to forgive him for the knock on where that sticky spray stuff wrecked his play the ball.

Just last week a ref allowed play on after a drop exactly the same as Alex's, animatedly explaining to the defending team why. That play led to a try.

Benji should flick an email to the NRL for a "Please Explain" ( aka Crack a Pauline) over this. Why was it good enough for one team but not the Tigers?
While he's at it he can ask again why Api got 10 in the bin and a 3 week suspension when what he did was innocuous compared to some we've seen of late that only copped being placed on report and then only cop a fine at the judiciary.

If he doesn't say something, this crap will keep on happening.

Sure is a penalty , but again there seems to be rules for some players and rules for others , Ponga gets away with murder , shoulder charges , and legs out when he jumps for,the ball but nothing when he is clearly doing illegal tackle , bulla is clearly in the air , no other player contesting only Ponga doing illegal tackle , game changer

Bula is the fastest and then we have Jake Averillo next year who is quick but yes you are right, tigers backs are slow

Finally someone else who looked closely at the break away. Makasini is not slow.

Absolutely 100% our red zone attack is terrible , Benji needs to get rid of his hanger ons and get some decent help , Dump Hodgo and Heighno and replace just those 2 , Andrew Johns part time would be great for attack , we can’t score points and it’s not just this year last year was the same , no idea close to the line , we had May , Bunty , Seyfarth all getting there ball standing still close in , they only get it if they are charging in , and our coach was on the side line , Benji needs some fresh help in attack

It's a simple gtame. Big men run hard and straight onto the ball near the line. Don't want to see those front rowers thinking they are ball players( Terrell May). Just run hard. Look at Manly with Humole. Every week we spread the ball in the 20 zone for nil outcomes.

An 18 year old kid in a losing side is always going to be an easy target for fans. Writing him off is just as inane, as expecting that he will star.

Ur kidding , this kid hit the field at the end of the season last year and looked fantastic, ran hard and hit hard , have not seen that at all this year , he has gone backwards , so it’s either he can’t handle playing 1st grade on a permanent basis, or we have thrown him to early , and he needs a season in nsw cup

Foot I believe

After some searching I believe Roberts is probably out for the season.
It was a broken foot which should be healed by now but apparently there is about 3 months of rehab after the 6 weeks for the bone to heal.
