ITS PURE COINCIDENCE. Luai was never the saviour for this club, but helped build the bro culture whilst being over paid.

We have so lost our way. The intensity and the pride that we’re so evident at the start of the season have completely gone. I think the injury toll has really impacted the team’s attitude and morale. They haven’t been the same since the mid season floggings. Perhaps time look at next season and get those that are due for end of season surgery done quickly so they are good to go for preseason. Just so disappointing.

Thats all we do every season. Lets look at next season. We are a club that is just on the merry go round.

They are not. Coach and his maidens can't get a rise out of this lot because they are soft. A woke club. Listen to Benji every week in pressers. He is as week as piss. the team is reflection of him and his maidens.

Not sure that it will make any difference (and also understanding lack of depth due to injuries), however I don’t like that we have weakened some of our strengths by playing them out of position.

Turuva valuable on the wing, but weak in centres. Switch Star back to right centre, Tito right wing, Skelton left wing.

Sione was having a real impact in the middle. I can’t believe I am saying this, but I think it is better overall for the team for Seyfarth to be on the edge. Not much difference between them on the edge, but Sione more impact in the middle.

A disturbing display that lacked intent and a capacity to deal with adversity. There is clearly a problem with culture and Benji is being exposed as a Coach without experience or any credible formulas. Fans loyalty is being challenged. Need to play fellas that have a hard competitive edge, a work ethic and that are not lazy. At least five or six of that team tonight do not have those characteristics. Appalling attack shape, entirely predictable and easy to defend, makes you wonder at the lack of creativity from Coaches

Too many players we field are simply not first grade standard. Skill-wise, experience, nous - lots of our players just don’t possess it.

Unfortunately, and I hope Benji is realizing this, a coach can create culture and systems, he can even improve skills, but he can’t magic brains into the players or change innate attitude problems.

So, while I’m a staunch Benji fan, what you say can’t be refuted.

There are clear examples of general coaching misses:
- no depth or shape in attack
- ineffective communication in defense

And then there are particular in-game issues where the coach could easily make changes, which are glaringly obvious:
- forwards (mostly May) inevitably taking a soft hit up on the 5th tackle
- no man/team rushing up aggressively in defense (anymore)
- zero idea from the team about 6th tackle options
- keeping players like Makasini, Toa or Seyfarth in games, or repeatedly selecting them when they are clearly costing us with their ineptitude. (And no, I don’t care that Seyfarth tries hard.)
- Persisting with no halfback. It CLEARLY doesn’t work. We’ve tried each of Madden, Douehi and Luai - none of them are the answer. Luai at 6 is what we must keep. This means Douehi has to play somewhere else (lock or centre) and Madden is back-up only. Blood someone else at 7, or play Latu. I don’t care, but come on!
And Bula. Man for chrissakes. He isn’t just average anymore, he is actually useless. I don’t care about his contract or price tag. It was always a gamble and we were kinda damned either way. Let him learn how to break a tackle or chime into the backline whilst in reggies. Blood someone so we aren’t in this same position next year, ie with no depth.

The season is gone. No use persisting with players who shouldn’t be there.

Figure it out Benji. Snap out of this crap. There is only so much patience you can expect from even your most ardent fans.
