By accusing them of being dumb are we then not putting them in the category of people that can't learn and therefore excusing the coach??

Don't know why anyone is surprised by this. They are just a much better team than us. They have bigger, more powerful and more skillful players and have a coach who actually knows what he is doing. This was always going to be a flogging. In rd 4 I think we got them at a good time because they were dealing with all the metcalf distractions back then. This is probably what would have happened back then if they hadn't parachuted metcalf back into their team that night.

As for tonight, the scoreline honestly flatters us. We were lucky they were off discipline wise because it would have been like the panthers game. Their ill-discipline allowed us to win the possession count and all we could muster was a try from them [This word has been automatically removed]ing up in the in goal. Yet every time they got in our red zone they were stripping us for numbers so easily. The full time score probably should have been the HT score if they were really at 100%.

We just have to bin this now and move onto a much more winnable game next week. Would be great for us to get the scummy dogs twice in one season.

Early in the season the team seemed hyped, they were hungry, they were dynamic, they were getting away heaps of offloads they were communicating, they looked like the fittest team in the comp.

The last two weeks they seem sluggish, disconnected, undisciplined, risk averse, there was no back up to the now rare line breaks, their last tackle options have been average.

Neal the Seal moved faster than some of those guys tonight.

Neil the seal was more entertaining too.

We kind of "manifest" this every week, only to be brought back to earth...with a lot of pain!!

Lost their way totally and they won’t find their way back this year. Massive losses have impacted confidence. Missed tackles, one off hit ups, no creativity and just a general lack of cohesion.

We need to do something different next week. Luai and Douiehi just don’t work together. Makasini is not first grade standard at this stage of his career. Need to start planning for next year I think.

This bloke was born to be a Tiger, convince everyone you’re all it with a decent game every now and again and then dog it for the rest of the month.
His efforts in defence are abysmal - get the girls to teach him to tackle.

Every single word of this .. missing the kick for touch was synonymous for his effort tonight .. slapping at the ball rather than tackling the runner .. it was disgraceful
