The big problem with Lee & Co was their genuine and inviolate belief their command of the club was necessary and that we couldn’t survive without them.

It was a kind of delusion.

Mate, he also does not have much to work with ..he is getting bad passes , people running in front of him and only one second rower that runs onto the ball for him ( S Fainu) ..his centres create no doubt in the opposition and he is always under pressure when he receives the ball.. Latu Fainu should be 5/8, Galvin really is a Lock.. a really skilful lock , a bit like John Sutton,,, he can play 5/8 but if you have a top class 5/8 then Galvin could work wonders in tandem with them

Does one serve the club by being more critical? It certainly ended the careers of Lee and Co.

I think the tolerance levels for each of us are different.

I’m in the cohort of growing frustration as the season turns into inevitable chaos.

I’ve tied my flag to Richos mast for the moment but as you know, if I sense incompetence I won’t wear it.

But I’m not surrendering.

Yep, it is so annoying the summer “training the house down “ references as if we are the only club doing a pre season… 😕
 
You get the same talk from every club preseason - they are all training the house down. Its what happens on the field that counts and our roster is the weakest in the comp by a country mile. Not one rep player in the entire club.
One step forward two steps back. Dont retain players we should or strengthen what we have around them. Benji may not be able to coach either but no coach can be measured by this squad. Any coach coming in would have to strengthen the roster to reach any level of success - just like the Bulldogs have had to do for Ciraldo. The Sydney market for doing that is the most competitive when the neighbouring clubs are happy to pick the eyes out of anything decent we have to strengthen their own rosters with a promise of finals footy.
Richardson has to effect a Gould transformation and not sure he can while it suits the other Sydney clubs to keep us where we are.

I like u thought getting Richo things would change, but looking in it’s just getting worse , I think this believe in the kids will be the downfall, yes , bula , Galvin and maybe 1-2 more but none are forwards that will give us a platform for our backs next season .
I am happy with the no leaks , but u have to give us supporters some hope , a trip to England, and NOTHING, clubs all around us making good signings. It’s hard to get on board when ur completely keeped in the dark .

I just need to know one thing. What are the parameters during the off season for calling it how it is? Because I got bashed from pillar to post last summer for being so negative, and I’m the biggest gloom and doomer on the forum yada yada yada, yet when the season rolls around, everyone starts sounding like me. So what are the ground rules this off season? 🤔

I get your sentiment, but that’s not true. We do have current rep players who played in the end of season Test fixtures in 2023. We are not chock full of talent, but are also underachieving.

We allow ourselves to be victims in that sense.

I agree.

But hope builds expectations and the crash is harder when we fail.

I’ve said it a million times, we need good officials to make the right decisions and we should be busting our gut trying to lure them to the club.

People who can determine the quality and prospects of players.

People with contacts and relationships.

We don’t even have a proper recruitment and retention outfit.

Benji begging for players to come over because he’s a good bloke and is cool and all that, well it has a shelf life.

I don't think anyone one of us is surrendering. We are passionate loyal and I see that when I go to games. We turn up ,but when do they turn up? Not all the time. No one apart from naden is dropped. I would prefer to get 50 on us and play the cubs.

When does Benji wield the axe. If he doesn't agianst souths next week ,the he is responsible and must fall on the blade. We must set standards. To many like sfeff klem and co are just going through the motions and taking the piss waiting fir other offers .

If the club doesn't say enough and start the axe it will by denial be responsible.
Bring the kids in and start the real build not the bullshit one.
