Cowboys barely got past the Raiders at home.

Think Broncos looked more threatening.

Garner featuring a bit tonight. Much better game than last week.

Higher work rate. Still enjoyed him bombing tries and getting smashed.

You serious? That was a very tough game.

Penrith started on absolute fire. The first 20 was some of the best football I've seen them play. Extreme mental toughness by Souths and in particular Graham and Murray to keep them in the game.

MCK as usual almost pulled a rabbit out of the hat in the final play of the game.

This was a tough game. Can't even dream about a Tigers team playing like this ever. Even at our best in 2010/11, we had line speed, speed and agility but never the mental toughness or the physicality these two teams had.

Shaq Mitchell is actually really good in attack.

Mitchell vs Garner was interesting at a point there. We all know that Mitchell has put on a few dog shots on Garner before but Garner has always been on the wrong end of the scorecard he must feel good today. Should be proud of his performance as well.

Looking at this, I'm actually worried we might be getting another spoon this year.

Last week didn't do that for you. If we can't hold the pill and can't execute in the attacking zone we are shoe-ins for the spoon.

Garner seemed to step up against Latrell.
Saw him wrestle him up once or twice, smiling in his face.

Wasn't enjoyable from where I was sitting.
Laughed seeing Edwards laugh on their faces at full time. Cheeky.

Second game tonight is the one to watch

Just looking through the team lists of all the teams, our backline is at the bottom of the pile and our pack is just below mid table. I just don’t see 2023 being much better than last year. Our spine is also bottom the pile even with the inclusion of Api .

Early days and I might be very wrong, but I think our first win will be a few weeks away at best

I went thru the team lists too for our game and imo on paper they're stronger than us... Not that 'on paper" means very much... Just surprising

It's interesting. We've improved our roster a lot and I think they look a lot better than us on paper. I think our bench is better, our forwards are pretty close but their backs are miles ahead of us.

I love people paying out Ponga. He does go missing but he was also the best player on the field in SOO last year.
