Round 2 **Live game thread v Warriors**

We look better across the park this year. We seem to be balancing both our attack and defence. Hope we can keep it up. Let's not get complacent for next week.

Hopefully a repeat performance of today’s efforts against the Bulldogs will make that PD even more impressive

The big difference is that we've won well. It hasn't just been a defensive only game plan.

Packer's best game in attack for the WT, Aloiai and Mikaele continue to run important meters. Matterson had another great game, he was unlucky, he could easily score a try.
Many on this forum wan t to write off Thompson, but he is by miles our best purchase in the last few years!
Farah re-invented himself, surely MOTM.
Great defence, and kick chase. Go Tigers

great game

we look solid, not overplaying the ball, and just over all efficient…great to see.

for the love of God, i just hope next week against the Dogs we dont rock up just expecting to win an easy game, we do that too frequently against the teams we "should" beat

Rowdy and Reynolds might struggle to find a spot in the 17 if this form continues

Good place to be in , no spot is guaranteed

That was the best forward display by our team in years. We were controlled, aggressive, dominant. Good set completion. Warriors made no line breaks. Our bench at last has impact. I used to dread the 28 minute mark - now we get stronger!

Whole team were exceptional.

Negatives - still looked fragile down right edge at times. Goal kicking.

Crowd a major disappointment. Pity because it was worth being there today that’s for sure

Discipline

Completions

Fitness

Cohesion

Resulting in wins - Protecting the line in the first half and ALL the damage on the scoreboard is in the Second.

Thats unheard of for our club.

Madge is such an upgrade with game day tactics. We are better organised, and strategic.

Our props are being used brilliantly Matulino, Packer, Twal are solid in all areas and Mikalele and Aloai are doing damage when they come on.

On the back of this go forward Robbie is wreaking havoc but Farahs pressure on opposing kickers is also great. He must be ultra fit this year as he is hounding players in defence.

Matterson has given us thrust on the right and an excellent defender inside Marsters.

Jennings and Garner are very solid on the left edge and we will be even stronger when Lawrence returns.

Brooks is playing very well in particular in defence and running the ball. Our wingers are solid again and making metres. Nofa provides more depth when he returns.

Reynolds played brilliant today in Reggie’s his time will come at some stage but very good signs.

The difference really is in talent and coaching:
We have replaced minutes last year of Goodinet, Rochow, Eiso, Sue, Kev with Farah, Matterson, Mikalele, Aloai, Jennings.

Add to that Madge for Cleary and it’s a much better side. Long way to go but I’m impressed with the style and standard of footy. We are not scrambling as much and dominating tackles with strong wrestle.

Theyll be back next time we lose.
For now theyre kicking stones rather than celebrating. Sad people.

Get a grip - everyone on this forum agrees Farah is a great footballer - there are a lot and i'm included who don't like him as a person.
