How are you judging on form?
Who else is infront of him with a 6 man bench?

These days you need 4-5 props.

Hunt, Bunty, Pole, May & Sione should cover rotation - Sione can cover prop and backrow.

Hunt or Bunty is a like for like swap so we should avoid having them on at the same time swap them over.

If all players are available for selection except for Latu Fainu, I think it’s a clear cut 21 man squad, that will need to be trimmed to 19.

** If KPP is unavailable for round 2 I would definately be starting Sione Fainu on the right edge which would mean Seyfarth would definately need to be in the 17 as I don’t think Sione would be ready to play a strong 80mins on an edge so early in the season.

You have to have a backup half with the new 19 man squad. I pick Madden for that role it’s only if he can double down and play hooker as well, then we are laughing. If not Hope or Hayward, Hope is a better defender but the Hays is much more dynamic in attack, which I prefer. Andrews has played so well during the trials with his ball work I’d probably pick him ahead of Skelton due to his form. Madden’s kicking game has been great and his ball work has surprised me! He’s almost pipping Doubie for the half spot, finding the grass on long kicks is exactly what we need and lacking. He seems to have learnt that from Reynolds.

very true. would anticipate they'll get flogged for a couple more weeks with scrimmages at the end of each week before they take the foot off the gas next weekend and move into the week to week schedule.

really curious to see how fit they're looking come 3:05pm Saturday 14 March.

He’s big enough and smart/skilful enough, but is he fast enough ?
In our trial games he has been impressive, but we have not seen him in the clear or hitting anywhere near top speed.
