What the thoughts on Bula’s game today

Good. Put on a good pass for a try in the first half, good under high ball. Could have positioned himself better on the Luai line break.

Potentially more if his mind is in the game , but its plain to see he has clocked of and is constantly trying to avoid anything that involves a physical collision . Not sure if thats helping his future value tho.

Didn’t realise KPP was so strong broke the line several times hard to bring down great defender with an off load , SF is a beast what an upgrade on Seyfarth

Just important to win those early games. All teams are a bit scratchy to start the season. A great confidence builder at home infront of a parochial crowd.

Seyfarth has been busy since he came on. Nothing special, but playing his defensive role well and taking a run.

Can rail a ball as acting dummy half tho.

I’m his biggest fan but he has to do better. He stood out in a terrible side in 2023 but jeez he’s not standing out atm. Luai today showed what big bucks gets ya and Bula is miles off atm. I want to see him get some dally m points and own some games.

We won but just as well we did not play a good side,we did not respect the ball enough imho and our defence was very scratchy.Still a win is always welcome and i am sure Benji will know we have to improve and work on it at training.

It’s round 1 bro in 30 degree heat . The cowboys are notorious for knocking balls out , and thier tackling technique gets a lot of guys standing up holding their ankles . And they have some absolute gun players . You can’t hold those types down all game .
one of those tries was a forward pass , and another was an arsey kick no one is defending .
The only try I have issues with is the one where Luke L lost track of his opposite number and did a David Nofaluma , where he jammed to no one .
He needs to fix that shit because that’s a huge betrayal of his inside men . They’re working thier arse off for that shit . He will get a spray for that .

what happened to his defense though at one stage he was a awesome defensive rookie now hes very avg
lots of drop ball and he didnt look great at all people think Luke Laulilii but it was luke that saved a try scored 2 himself and put him self in postions to score more even if they didnt come off

To be honest when they go our way, no worries 😉,but most of the time it's hard to even know whats the six again is for, it's just six again play on .I reckon off the back of that there will be a lot of points conceded for the I'll discipline teams.

Big red was strong when he came on , and really did a good job of holding down the middle and getting momentum to either stay the course , or shift ever so slightly , when they had opportunities .
I think as games move forward and we arnt facing a team who like to twist late in tackles causing huge pressure on players lower joints , we will see hope come on a little earlier . We had Sione at dummy half because Api just couldn’t go any longer
