Pole was gassed after 10mins and he was ineffective with the ball. Just looked off the pace all game. If he is to start each week needs to pick his game up.

Hunt was alot more effective in his time on the park and looked good, at least bent the line and created space.

Bula was bog ordinary, lacked speed and cohesion in the spine. His work rate isn’t even close to the best fullbacks in the comp. Needs to pick his game up.

Skelton should be picked always infront of Luke, it shouldn’t be a question.

On re-watching the game, was disappointed in a few of Pole's tackling efforts. Fell off 2 or 3 straight up that ran at him. Covered by team mates but will need to lift his standards in this area.

The Cows made too many meters down our left side. Seemed to be able to strip us of numbers whenever they liked. Need to sort that out. But a great win. For a first up match, the team did great. I thought Twal was immense!

So after watching the replay, it appears to me that most of the Cowboys breaks down our left edge were caused by Drinkwater's speed getting him to the outside of Luai. This left Mak and Laulii having to deal with 3 attackers. That's my 2c worth, anyway.

Great day yesterday. Hats off to our boys. First game after a 3 week break & it was bloody hot. Far from perfect & we left a few tries out there but overall really happy. Some really good signs. You could tell that we are a deeply scarred fanbase. When the Cows went back to back tries it was a very eerie feeling at the ground but we found a way to stop the rot & power home. I also want to give a shout out to a group of people who came to the aid of an old man who had a fall at the end of the game, the amount of people who helped until ambo’s came was sensational.
