LIVE GAME Round 2 versus Eels

Live Game Discussion
Unbelievable, was at the game. Tiger section louddd than the whole stadium. Started slow but to be expected with the spines first hit out.

Twal was awesome, absolutely crunching em in defence, strong runs too.

Terrell again, unbelievable player I still can’t believe we have him, usually the roosters get our guns. Thanks chooks!

Turuva triple is beautiful and I love the tiger claw celebration they’ve all taken on from Sammy.

Luai and Galvin were very very good. Api excellent as usual. Bula has grown into his role and his ball playing has gotten much better.

Backline was awesome and shoutout to To’a was his second best game only that cowboys game was better.

All in all slow start, awesome last 50-60. Disappointing they scored at the end but saw somewhere we only had 12 on the field?

GO THE TIGES! Saw the wiggle as well aha, we were saying goodbye to the parasites leaving early. AWESOME FIRST WIN LETS GOOOOOO
Yea . I think someone else was down in back play too . Just a lesson on making sure you don’t clock off . It was garbage time though . You wouldn’t think Ryles would even acknowledge that last 2 minutes .

Some REALLY good signs, some good things come out of that game.
They aren't there yet but are well on there way.

Sure Parra weren't on their game but I thought that was the best 2nd half I've seen from the WT in quite a while.

It was funny to be down to 12 men yet that not being due to a sin bin 😂🤣
If they get that interchange of passing like in the 2nd half going to perfection, there will be plenty of points on offer out wide. There was a lot more resolve in their goal line defence this week, near perfect.

I still have concerns over Doueihi's defence, but for now he deserves his shot at centre with his agile attacking & goal kicking outweighing his defence - so far.
If his defence doesn't fall off or in fact it improves I'm sure we are looking at a season with more success than most predicted.

I don't think there is anything about the game that won't have been disected by now.

Couple of interesting things I found-

Skelton made 0 tackles last week, and 1 this week. Doueihi is inside him. Are the opposition not getting the ball past Doueihi in attack?

With our 2 wingers getting 170m+ each, we now see our forwards contributing Panthers-like numbers- fewer and fewer run metres required. Twal, Fainu x 2, Seyfarth, Bird all under 100m. Only Hunt, Pole & obviously May topping 100m

Bula completely changes the way the Tigers attack. Put to bed the idea he isn't our #1 fullback. Rock solid in defence too.

I think I saw something foreign to the club. Belief. They believed they were going to win.

I think it looks great watching Hunt run off the back fence on kick returns. I'd like to see the team run the tank dry when he's on the field though. He's a decoy runner too often. Particularly close to the line. Run him to empty- particularly if he's only playing 20-30 minutes.

If To'a can play at that level, and Doueihi continues as he is- we don't need centres.

Great to see Luai and Galvin linking up a lot more this week. Made a big difference to the attack

TDS coming on and attacking tired defences is really handy. Made a lot of big runs targeting lazy markers

Royce Hunt another great impact player off the bench, love the kickoff runs!

People forgot what an attacking weapon To'a is - has a mistake in him, but he's very quick and strong. Was a constant threat today

Do you think Bula has grown because of Hodgson on the coaching staff?

Happy for Benji - lifts the pressure off for a little bit and hopefully gives the team some self belief going into the next game
I thought his player time management worked really well as well with the bench players. He is learning.
And of cause they new players now on board and joined the crocodile role.
