I don't expect him too. I'll be happy if he minimizes his errors and contributes something in attack.
Would love to see some direct half back running through the line.

think hes injuredGood luck to Tumeth getting a run with Blore being ruled out.
Still, hard to cop a long time international in Bateman not yet being "acclimatised" some three weeks after reaching our shores.
Tumeth is to small to be playing NRL at the moment. Hel be man handled.Good luck to Tumeth getting a run with Blore being ruled out.

Love to know what this ankle injury of Bateman's is all about. No strapping on it whatsoever.
Fair enough and well explained although I would have thought he would have arrived in peak condition considering the English season is well underway and he just played a World Cup.There's no real issues. It doesn't matter how long you train for on your own, nothing beats training with the team with the proper staff around him. The staff are doing the right thing by not rushing a big signing back in a panic and risking injury...I think this rebuild is a 2-3 year process - we can't panic after a loss to a well-organised team, especially considering we dropped the ball 4-5 times in key areas of the field.
Not to mention the goalkicking shortfall.
It's the fight in the dog, not just the dog in the fight.Batemans the same size as he was when he won the Dally M medal for second rower in the year, was anyone calling him small then?
Kautoga not eligible to play yet as he’s not in the Top 30.Very happy Naden still good to go, thought he was one of our best past week. Is Katoga eligible to play atm? Scored 3 first half tries last week in cup, surely deserved a shout on the 22 man bench
Kurt Mann out for Knights with Tyson Gamble taking his spot. Shame, as Mann tries hard but usually stunts their attack.
thats terrible. at least put wakeham on the bench. a spare for the weakest link

I doubt it he was ever named at lock, but he did come off the bench a lot for the Broncos so I can imagine him playing a bit there. As we know, he's a big body.Has Gamble ever played lock in his career ?

Every club looks thin with 3 first choice forwards out. Have you taken a look at the Roosters KOE pack.We look a little weak on the bench. Shows what a few injuries can do to your side. Blore, Bateman, Pole out of our first 17 and we are struggling. Realistically a big reason we’ll be doing it tough to make finals this season.
I actually thought our effort was good Last week. It was just a drop athon that lost the gameThe team that has the most effort will win
Agree. It's the fight in the dog, not just the dog in the fight.
Bateman is a great competitor and trainer.
The Tigers are better for having him here
