Think we need a lock/dummy half hybrid to play the first 15/20 and then brin Api on for the lst 60 of each game. Someone with better front on defence who can just shove the ball out at a decent level. Particularly is we persist with Douiehi in the 13 (which I think we should).

Yep, and these other dumb things I saw:

The number of poor Api "no look" dummy half efforts. I don't mean "no look" passes but he actually is looking at our so-called attack and not looking at the player playing the ball, which he lost one and almost stuffed up a couple more.

The Luai penalty for changing his line when their 5th tackle kick was not a real threat. 2ND WEEK in a row!

Stains' awful offloads.

The referee's decision to penalise us for a so-called holding down tackle, which led to great field position for their 4th try. No way was it a hold down. But hey what kinda game would it be if a ref didn't make a poor decision on us each week.

Followed by the referee's decision not to penalise Verrells for being offside when Api busted thru.

And last, but not least, the dumbest final play with seconds remaining to set up for a field goal attempt.

But who cares - we won. We are still alive and the Panthers will be understrength next week.

On a positive note - we have been hopeless when playing for milestone occasions e.g Benji & Robbies farewells & Tommy Rs memorial - but today we won our 100th game as Wests Tigers at the Sacred Ground of LO. That'll do me - time for a cleansing ale.

My Sunday was made better thanks to Douehi but seriously that would be up there for the worst performance of the season (I didn’t see the Melbourne game). Taylan May was a stand out and Seyfarth was solid. Staines had a shocker and should not be re-signed. The errors in the rucks, two of them, least of all from Api, should not be seen in first grade. Honestly we need to speed up our game in all aspects of energy and intensity. We are so slow at everything. When we play teams that are struggling like us we manage to find a way to put in our worst performances. Pleased with the result but not the performance. Benji needs to get right up them. We have such a long way to go before we can say we are better.

Holy shit just finished the replay. God - good to have a win but we were DREADFUL. Sorry to say - the jahrome and latu fainu experiment has failed. Let doeuhi run the team - good kicking game, good running game and can run direct.

Only disappointing thing for me is Latu wasn't also set up for it, I know it's only a few games at 7 for him, but he's been a half his whole time in the juniors, it should be his bread and butter. As halves it's his and Luais responsibility. Luai was out gassed so thought Latu should have owned it.

I think Latu is going to take all this season to become an organiser and fit in ,but I liked Douehi at lock. He looked more direct and more dangerous than anyone.

I know we got there in the end, but trying to get into position for the field goal, it took every fibre of their being just to give themselves a shot. Even that last play, the play the ball came from the sideline. WTF is Luai there for?

Luai got rib checked badly when he made that break, I think that’s why he was nowhere to be seen. Even said so in the post match interview
