The tigers need improvement.. we can all agree on that..
But there is a fundamental issue with the NRL when it comes to implementing the rules of Rugby League..
Instead of implementing the rules of the game, they have taken another path and utilise "interpretation"....
Interpretation basically gives them a get out of jail free for whatever they do..
I'm probably pushing sh1t up a hill discussing this with you, but I am sure there are others that comprehend the core problem.
In this game, Penrith were handed their first try on the back of set restarts and an "interpretation" of Izaac not playing the ball with his foot....
Penrith then scored their second try on the back of 6+ play the balls in which the Panthers players did not use their foot on the ball.. where's the handover to the tigers?
12 points handed to them, no fault of the tigers.. just penalties/set restarts applied willy nilly late in the tackle counts, which leads to them Penrith having DOUBLE the amount of field position the tigers have had in the opposition half.
Games blow out on the back of this - does that really suprise you?
The NRL has designed the game so they can determine outcomes...
The NRL don't enforce rules, they "interpret" them...
