Totally agree, we are obviously rudderless. Benji and Sheens would be a better halves pairing. We've dominated field position and posession in more than half our games. Without a halfback it's meaningless.

No coach can work with an NRL side that has KOE halves, and KOE halves in the bottom level. Bellamy and Bennett with Warren Ryan wouldn't get our current mob firing, fact!A good coach can and will work around that however we do not have a good coach
Hate to single out players...but even a bog average center and half back and we win easily last night.
Talau was atrociously bad.
Wakeham was three steps behind the pace all night.
Take both out and put in any competent duo and we win 12 +
Disappointing part is that game was prob our only shot at a win for a while. This losing streak may go well over 10 before we have another chance.
Yeah his stuff up was worseAgree Ink but Im nearly 100% sure Laurie knew he was offside and still made the tackle. The lost ball wasn't intentional.
We were not firing with Brooks when he was available or AD,what was your excuse then?Tim used to be a decent coach but that was over a decade ago and he is a massive part of the problem as to why we are where we are on the competition tableNo coach can work with an NRL side that has KOE halves, and KOE halves in the bottom level. Hopefully your money. You’re right but just let that sink in. It’s July and the smart money is on wests not winning another game until some time next season. In 2024. Maybe.
I think Toa has real potential but with our halves he gets little room to moveGood perspective. Most of the tries against us for the past 1-2 months have been on the edges so our middle defence has been great. If we had the right halves and continuity in our outside backs, we probably win at least 50% of the games we lost.
Wakeham, Talau and, in recent weeks, Nofa, T'oa & Tupou have been NSW Cup standard.
Tupou is still developing and T'oa is underutilised in attack. He is our best tackle-breaking back and we rarely give him opportunities 1-on-1.
Lock will be an interesting position for us moving forward. I am hopeful Matamua is the long-term answer but Blore and Seyfarth have definitely shown something. Not sure on Blore's ability as a link-man though.
Hopefully your money.
Hopefully Albo gets his gambling laws through.Good input.
FYI, woolies having a sale on tin foil. Good chance to stock up on headwear.
Hopefully Albo gets his gambling laws through.
Don't want to see you loose your money.
Centerlink recipients need protection.
Mate he has played shit in the wrong position put him at number six which is his best position and he will play well most of the time and even in the shit games as you say that he’s played he has still been better than Wakeham which is why fans get upset with sheens because he’s been picking Wakeham over Laurie all year which is unforgivable.Mate, Laurie has played a number of incompetent, chicken shit games for this club. There’s a reason he was banished to reserves for most of the year.
Tonight wasn’t one of those games and he was the only one likely to create. Best I’ve seen him play since the Townsville trip last year.
The knock on Laurie was that his body is too small for first grade. He looked a lot bigger last night, might have been the same size as earlier seasons but he was playing tough. I really think he is more suited to 5/8, at fullback he was doing everything at speed across the field as fullbacks do he doesn’t have that lightning speed as some of the other fullbacks and fair to say Bula is quicker across the park which in effect meant he doesn’t have the same time in play as other fullbacks and often got rushed.Something that didn't surprise me and something that did from last nights game.
What didn't surprise me is that Toupu is a gun when he gets quality ball instead of having the play stifled before it gets to him. He could have had a hat-trick if Talau passed the ball later in the 2nd half. I get Rawalawa was playing on 1 leg in the 2nd half, but he showed what he is capable of...just get him the ball!
What did surprise me is the one to give him that quality ball was none other than Daine Laurie! It is easy to say he is playing for a contract (and that possibly had a lot to do with his performance last night), but I think under the right kind of playing style he has a lot to offer. His talent is not in question imo, more his attitude and application.
My 2 cents.
I agree. He stands on his wing and waits for others to create.Junior’s work rate for a winger is bog average. Does no hard yards.
Gotta get that error out of his game.I agree. He stands on his wing and waits for others to create.
I’m not sold he has much more to give.
I think we’re all forgetting that Tupou closed in well on Lomax but didn’t put him on the ground, then everyone in that vicinity seemed to slow down before realising Lomax had done a 360 and was heading back down the wing. Finally got around to watching the second half.
Specifically around the last try and the lead up to it.
Bateman; Braindead decision to bait Hunt, all he was doing was making a tackle champ, play on.
In the Lomax try; WE WERE SHORT ON THE OPEN SIDE AGAIN… I can’t believe the amount of times we fail to number up on the opposition. That one just shouldn’t have happened.
5/8 and hooker are in the play the ball and the remainder of the spine were lined up down lomax’s side. What the hell is happening in the talk department to not understand to get another middle down that side. Both A and B defenders went out to our right side, if just 1 of Stef or Twal went left from the tackle we would have had the numbers.
FRUSTRATING!
