What you have said here is not a debate - he is clearly inexperienced and struggling. That's not disagreeing directly with what I said - what I said is we don't have the depth to drop Makasini, both as a roster deficit and due to the money we've invested in him. Saying that he's inexperienced doesn't change the discussion about how we would better facilitate his development.

He's not alone, the whole team is struggling and we can't drop all of them.

Effort was there and some good performances.

But 'clunky' is a word I'd use for the attack, no flow about it, no movement and easy to read.

Yeah Maka made an error in defence but there were heaps of errors, so those laying the blame on him is a bit rich.

More with Api and that tired, weak shoulder penalty, now thats an error.

I agree there are too many blinkers on to point at the last mistake we made and ignore the 40 mistakes leading up to that.

Tigers should have been scoring 20+ points today.

He has been very ordinary this year at times.
I’d be shocked if he extends here.
To be honest, is he even worth it currently?

It all comes down to setting standards and achieving those standards. Look at the Sharks every year you get the same. They are not the most skilful or full of super stars, but they are disciplined and do all the little things right. Plus they always compete and have a dig.

Don’t know what the answer is as every coach has failed but one thing for sure Benji is not working. Maybe we need a hard man like Brad Arthurs

He hasn’t done anything all year to earn as many games as he has been gifted.
He is obviously a member of the bro mafia running the joint.
On merit he wouldn’t even be in reserve grade.

We all know the year is done I’m placing little in current performances. That said adding KPP, Taylan May, Averillo to the side and changing the halves AD and Luai should make a difference.

Keep thinking that and you’re in for a let down. They are good players, but not game changers. We aren’t going to do much at all with our spine. And the less said about Benji the better. I see us winning 7 or 8 games max with the squad we’ll have.

I’d like to say the only way is up SQ but under our current coaching/ playing regime it seems impossible.
And yet our Seconds team continues to perform well , another big victory today with young Andrews getting a try and kicking 7 goals.
Why is this so …..
But I learnt a long time ago there is a solution for every problem, maybe we just haven’t been digging in the right spot.

Well Saukuru for one has at least done his time in reserves. Leading scorer in cup, similar profile to Makasini with similar defensive flaws but absolutely deserves a crack

That was such a horrible performance, both tries were individual plays. Every time we grubbered there were no players chasing through and everytime there was a break there were no players backing up. AD massacred at least 3 certain tries and Luai can co cant seem to strip numbers on the left. This team have really switched off and are not playing for their coach or their captain and certainly not the jersey or the fans.
