I’m looking forward to Saturdays matches v Manly/Blacktown and our outside backs coming through in Jimmy Ngutlik, Max Taotua, Tino Tavana, Large & Makasini, Kanaan & Xavier Tauaifaga.

Might just get out to Lidcombe 12 noon for both games.

I actually think Latu and TDS rotating in the 14 role is a positive. It's limited minutes so the time spent back in cup gives them a chance to keep racking up big minutes regularly enough while they continue to keep getting tastes od firsts

Yeah, that was getting Simpkin down earlier in the year too, especially when he basically ran on for a cameo appearance at the end when the game was well and truly decided.

I'd reckon that the coach has no option but to play these players: they're fit, contacted and available.
They lessen the burden of our other inexperienced players.
They reflect a stronger team overall - especially us with a limited quality in our 17.
Rarely does a "leaving player" get dropped outright (yes, I'm aware of some in the past) but generally clubs use what they have.

I reckon it is stupid to not select the best available if they are putting in, especially so when the club is struggling to avoid another wooden spoon and has a chance of doing so.

And those guys don’t seem to be making any appreciable difference to our performance. Loyalty must be encouraged and rewarded whilst disloyalty must be cut out like a cancer.

I hear ya.
If we were a few games away from the spoon I’d be in. We need to avoid the spoon.

I reckon without Stef & Ice last week south's get us... I reckon they made quite an appreciable difference to our performance... They contributed over 300m, more than 120 post contact meters and almost 60 tackles between them.
Players will always come and go... Jerome Luiai, Turuva and Skelton are all disloyal too 🤔

But yes he’s looked above average at manly

Averaging 150+ meters a game and 15 tries in 19 appearances isn’t too shabby
