Good morning WTFamily from a lovely, sunny, cool CW NSW this morning. The magpies are chatting away in the gum tree in the home paddock, so I'm taking that as a good sign 😀

Can the boys repeat last week's team work and get a win up in Townsville? Will they give the people who have travelled up there a reason to cheer?

I hope they get a win over the Cowboys, and I especially hope they make Bateman look silly.

So, as our lovely Tigergran always said,
UTT 🐅 🟠 ⚪️ ⚫️ 🐅

Tigerdazz's Game plan:

- Stop Drinkwater!
Don't give him any room. If putting up a bomb for him, do so towards the corners, NOT the middle, he's capable of burning our boys up on his kick returns.

- Win the ruck. They will do a lot of dummy half running so defend that ruck with your life!

- Play unstructured & vary things up. Payten knows how Benji thinks so keep them on their toes ie: Throw the ball around rather than run one out.
Repeat the blind side plays like last week, kick early for a few sets (if possible for a 40/20) and their wingers will be in two minds on tackles 3 & 4.
Put in grubbers on 3rd or 4th tackle if Drinky is defending on his try line.
Every few sets dummy half run on the last tackle if near the sideline & their wingers have dropped back, a few bombs to the corners prior will see their wingers drop back to protect Drinky.

- To help reduce fatigue, take the 2 if given a penalty in range, the Cows play so fast so take a break whenever you can to let your forwards catch their breath.

- Remember, you've given them a flogging once this year. This game plan mirrors the way you played them last time.
We're still a few good players down so be patient & keep the younger players patient just stick to the game plan, don't attempt low percentage plays or "Hail Mary's".

Just tackle , and run the ball , in depth

Honestly not sure what to expect today. Another honest 80 minute effort where we pull off an upset or another half hearted effort where we get 50 put on us???

Cows have a lot to play for, a win tonight would snuff out any threat Canterbury could muster once and for all. Or we could spoil their party and make them sit on the edge for another week. A win to us would mean an opportunity for the Dogs, which I’m not too happy about, but still I would rather win than lose. Hopefully the Dogs will lose again next week anyway.
