Luai and Api shithouse today

Our 5th tackle options were bad, but this was obviously a tactic. One that didn’t work.

Api was not his usual.
But both our tries were effectively set up by Luai. He was the only one that looked likely to penetrate. Just a shame we don’t have better foils for him.

Raiders worked out that all you had to do was go to ground the moment the ref called held to get a penalty.

Look at the last 6 again Canberra received when Papalii heard the ref call held and then simply takes a knee.

We played the team who won the minor premiership and were screwed over multiple times and on the back end of a combined 16-7 penalty count (including 6 agains).. pole also dropped the ball over the line ..

So if you are right, then the whole comp must be sh1t.. because raiders are minor premiers... if we are that bad and they only beat us by 14 with all those legs up - how poor mist the competition be?

It was Ginane and he is by far the worst commentator i have ever heard and that includes Ron Casey 50 years ago.

That disruptor penalty bula gave away is one of his biggest weaknesses. He doesn't have that extra bit of strength or confidence to go on with things in games. A lot of 1%ers he doesn't have in his game

To lose 10-24 against the minor premier is a top effort.

4 tries conceded, two from Turuva errors, two from bad missed tackles. Fainu dropping the ball over the line and the “disruptor” penalty were big moments. Easily matched them today. We get the above numbers and we win.

Yep, happy with the effort.

We dont play to our strengths enough. We need to find a way where we pepper away at the opposition throwing our best plays at them. Too many times we hustle our way through the back end of a set instead of players knowing whats needed.

One time today in the 2nd half we were 30m out and we all know the play is to kick down high down the middle to Weekes with Bula chasing but Luai ram the ball.

We dont use Bula enough. I said this last week. He is our man we need to inject

A really dumb side, make the wrong decisions time and again. Worst kicking game in the comp, terrible last tackle options. We really really need to sign a halfback for next season.


Luai is the anti-halfback. Every last tackle he takes the wrong option. Very concerning for Api, he's way off the pace, looks tired and slow and has no impact on the game anymore.

If we had Fogarty we'd almost be a top 8 side.

Bird tried hard today, the ref killed us, but we made too many dumb mistakes. We lose the ruck every week. Lack the quality. A terrible bench today.

A team of passive players. No forwards who are aggressive or dominate. Spine was terrible today

Agree around having solid last tackle options. Probably tried to run it a bit too much. Some silly penalties given away cost us time in possession in the second half. We only had 9 sets at them all 2nd half.

Kicking game is meh...we look much better when we put kick pressure on bombs, but hardly ever do it.

I thought apart from some polish that's needed above, we've got the nucleus of a good side and played pretty well.

You haven't heard Joel Caine on SEN, you don't even know who has the ball most the time. I don't think he knows he is on radio

The NRL really had gine to shit. Some of the head highs penalised today are disgraceful.

Pretty happy with what we showed today. With some better leadership by Laui and and some polish on Latu and others, we really win that game.

Laui was a real let down the 2nd half. He showed no composure on the last play time and again.

The escort is almost as perplexing. If the attacking player isolates and runs into one defender, he's awarded a penalty, yet forming a wall of players to protect the catcher is not deemed an infringement. Parramatta has ade a mockery of this interpretation recently.

Seriously? You’re pointing a finger at Bula? He’s a good player getting better. A couple of times he was the only guy putting pressure on their catcher.
