Round 4 spoilers

I’m loving chicken legs Checcin tonight. He’s set a standard and stuck with it. Yes there has been a lot of penalties but the players need to adjust not the ref. A few talking back penalties don’t help Melbourne’s cause.

Its a game of chicken between the refs and coaches. I'm surr the clubs feel the refs don't have the gumption to stay the course.

I hope the fortitude continues as it's long overdue. That said, so is the use of the five minutes in the bin.

Agree 100%. We have been saying for years the refs have lost control. Now they are taking it back. Players are carrying on like brats - how dare you tell me what to do! I like it

Just switched on. Fatty is blowing up, so they must be doing something right.

Anyway, I agree with you, hope they see it through too, even if the footy is ugly. From the little bit I saw, and the rest of the games this year this is what it will take to stop the game being dominated by the same tactics we've blown up about for years. What is the point of rules when the same things go unpunished time after time until it suits the refs, like against us last week. I'd rather see every infringement penalised and no more chummy behaviour between refs and players.

Agree with you both here. Was thinking watching it that the coaches are waiting for the refs to back off but there is no way they should the coaches have to get their teams in order.

5 minute sin bin would be perfect for now because they can use it as needed without the big impact it is at the moment.

I take it you don't watch Rugby League for the entertainment value then…

Commentators aren’t helping tho, getting stuck into the refs

Checcin was a bit excessive on the whistle tonight but it's what we've been all crying out for from previous seasons …
We always complained about the 10 meters and the garbage play the balls ...
Players need to conform !

A bit like whinging about speed cameras ...
Don't speed and it won't cost you !

Up Up Cronulla! That was great. They play too physical for The Grubs every single time. Storm hate the physical teams, their cats really show their true colours when the game gets physical. Shame Gal didn't punch a few of the germs out, Slater, Chambers and Munster especially. The beers taste good tonight after that!

Melbourne’s behaviour at the end of the game was disgraceful. Spoilt, petulant brats couldn’t handle not being able to control s football game. A couple might be in trouble with the review committee. This may be ugly but it’s way overdue.

I want to see free flowing games and the way we get that is if the players adhere to the rules. Everyone complained that the ruck was a mess and the play the ball was being slowed down too much. Now the refs are cleaning up the ruck and the ten minutes to allow the players to have time and room but people want to blame the refs not the players. The refs would be out there telling them when they can move so the players need to listen to him.

All i know is that we better show up against the storm or else it’ll be a long night

Coach not happy
