TEAM LIST Round 4 vs. Storm

Team List
Positives

- Sheens V1.0 would have persisted with the same team for 1/2 a season, instead v2.0 has made changes after 3 weeks
- Youth/Speed on the wings
- Kepoa retaining a starting position, albeit in the centres
- Adam out of the half's
- Starting pack at full strength

Negatives
- Adam starting at fullback (visions of the QE2 turning in the harbour on kick returns) - he should be at 14
- Laurie should be starting over Adam
- Brooks retaining the no.7 on his back - I know it has no bearing as he'll play left and Wakeham on the right, but he should be put on notice by having the '7' taken from him
Already liking these positives.

I think there maybe some sheens creative business going there with AJ and Daine as the game goes on.
In terms of AD, Sheens has made a clever move and put him as a ball receiver meaning we shouldn’t see him throw dumb intercepts.
We all know AD is a strong player with ability to drag players with him like we saw many times from scrums last year.

I love Laurie but gee wiz Staines looked the goods at Fullback

Less I say about Seyfarth the better.

Happy to see Noffa Hooked.
Players on notice, good thing for the club.
If our ex-coach is still here, Seyfarth and Nofoaluma would be the first picked, HELL he would reincarnate Tamou, Packer and Lovett!

Still Still Too stubborn to play Brooks at 5/8 or Reggies.

And what has Sheens got in for Joffa? Kill his confidence bringing him off the bench and then drop him .. He was our best player last year ffs. Better than 🤬 goose Seyfarth - Matamua for Seyfart will do me.

Sheens on some 4d chess shit with the turnstile position at fullback. The other clubs can't keep up

Only positive really is Wakeham & Junior Tupou

I really liked Staines at FB. Now we get to see AD crash and burn in yet another spine position. Hopefully I'm wrong on that.

Big pressure on Wakeham to perform. Would be brilliant if he can get us hitting straight and hard.

Considering we should have 6 competition points, we can topple Melbourne.
I thought Staines played pretty good at FB last week. He was the only one pushing up with Api when he ran.
I am not a big fan of chopping changing positions during the game - example if Laurie goes to FB, then AD goes to centre and then move AJ to 2nd row etc.....too many moving pieces which can cause confusion.
I would suspect that Wakeman will run the show and Brooks will be a floating half pushing up more with Api.

I would love to see our defensive attitude change in that they get off their line quick and work from the inside.
We did that in the Canberra trial so i am not why we have not done that for the next 3 games.
Furner needs to pull his finger out and get the boys fired up for this game from a defensive point of view as that is where it will be won against the Storm.

I'd go with Laurie over both of them.

Staines is like Brooks - he doesn't speak. I think Sheens can't afford to have two non communicators in key positions.

we should have tried to move joffa on last year when he was playing well we actually could have got a trade for him in the one position we do have depth in which is the forwards

Storm: Star playmaker Cameron Munster returns after missing two games with a finger injury in a huge boost for the Storm. Jonah Pezet goes to the reserves bench. Halfback Jahrome Hughes heads to the judiciary on Tuesday night to seek a downgrade on a Dangerous Contact charge. Should he be successful he will line up against the Tigers but if found guilty he will miss two games, meaning Pezet could come back into the team at halfback.
Yeh great .. they will need them both back if they have any chance of beating us ..

I’ll be at the Caxton watching brooks embarrass us then I’ll be off to watch a qcup halfback in O’Sullivan outperform him
OSullivan was a good buy imo. Filled in admirably for The Chin last year.
Maybe Brooks won’t embarrass us this week now that he has someone solid next to him.
It will be interesting to watch if they can replicate last weeks play.

I’d like to see some shape in attack, even with Wakeham on the field there was times we just seemed lost

Well I think if they train together all week and work on that we may we’ll see some semblance of organisation. I’m sure that’s the plan, so now we wait and see.

It's flogging a dead horse, but Brooks plays significantly better when the pressure is off (ie the team is 20 points down or we're playing a top team), the minute the pressure goes on he freezes up. He plays the wrong position for his personality.

But we don’t need a ball boy, we already have some !
