TEAM LIST Round 4 vs. Storm

Team List
We have one mate, just dont fret about the numbers on their backs, so long as they play near each other like last Sunday, not split on seperate sides.
Heads up football and Storm are vulnerable, with or without Munster.
tbh, I haven't been that excited about what I've seen from Wakeham both here and during his time at the Dogs. Can kick goals (tick), but I have doubts about whether he can he steer a side... I hope so.
SEN boys just said it as I was thinking it when looking at the side named, can't we just approach a team for a halfback not being used? Do a swap deal or sorts. Nofa?

where on earth do you start

1. why Brooks is named 7 and not 6 i can't work that out
2. good to see wakeham get a run
3. Laurie on the bench, is Sheens thinking Laurie to fullback at some stage and AD to centre, Kepoa to second row ?
4. Joffa dropped, don't mind that tbh something doesn't seem right there
5. Our forwards look very good
Joe O barely trained during pre-season.

Coming off calf injury, that's why he didn't play a trial.

WESTS TIGERS
1. Adam Doueihi/Daine Laurie
2. Charlie Staines
3. Brent Naden
4. Asu Kepaoa
5. Junior Tupou
6. Luke Brooks **
7. Brandon Wakeham
8. Alex Twal
9. Apisai Koroisau (c)
10. David Klemmer
11. Isaiah Papali'i
12. John Bateman
13. Fonua Pole

14. Justin Matamua/Simpkin
15. Stefano Utoikamanu
16. Shawn Blore
17. Joe Ofahengaue

I have no doubt this team would do a lot better. Don't understand picking laurie on the bench, if its not a forward its gotta be someone to give api a spell, laurie isnt going to do this so I assume hes just backup incase the fullback is diabolical and needs to be shafted. Again with starting Stef too... don't know why they cant see hes better off the bench, and Matamua for some ball playing. + Joe > Seyfarth

Sheenius!

Expect Changes.

Nofo Dropped - hopefully an attitude check. could also be because we are playing against Nofos other side (just ask him!)

Ofo I reckon might find his way back in for Seyfarth.

Doueihi should be on notice too.
I don't mind it - Wakeham showed some real enthusiasm.

We seemingly have a bunch of guys giving it a red hot crack and another bunch tanking - the difference between the two groups is as stark as it has ever been.

Heads up footy? They can't do heads up or a game plan.

Our pack will once again win the middle third this week. The question is can the headless chooks outside of them fall over the try line with the ball in the hand?
So glad Nofa has caught the boot between his cheeks, he has been woeful.
Nofa will be in Bellamy's ear to get another go with them before long I think.

8-13 is great.

No idea why Douhie is fullback though. Slow as and won't be able to get on the outside of defenders.

We need about 6 new players to be honest

It looks confused on paper and given the confusion after the last few weeks - who knows what will happen. I'm not sure any team functions well when the spine that is already ordinary is changed up with the same players in different positions.

Why do they continue to name Brooks a 7 ?
Everybody knows he’ll be playing as a 6 so why not just name him there?
I think as a 7 it’s expected, he can handle the barrage that would come this week from anyone.
Naming Wakeham at 7 is a different story and might add just a bit of extra pressure to him.
It might change next week, it might not, but this way your not bowing down to the popular opinion that Brooks needs to be replaced as a halfback and throwing all the attention on Wakeham in his first run on debut at the club.
I’m pretty sure they’ll share duties in the halves.
Can Wakeham kick goals though please, let Douiehi kick long off the tee is he pleases. But Wakeham is an accurate goal kicker and just what we need there.

I agree with Wakeham being the goal kicker.
He's been so accurate in the reserves games.
