Our pack did a great job and our halves didn’t over complicate the game.

Hopefully with this win there will be less talk about Bula negotiations I am over it

Latu is a couple of classes above Madden, just without the kicking game.

Luke L looked much better
Twal is in career best form

I generally agree. For me its more the style of halves we need that has got me wanting Madden in. However I do see his deficiencies, mainly defence. We will have to carry his defence the next few weeks.

But how much better dod pur attack look with Latu, Jock straightening the attack? If Jock was a little bigger and stronger he could be a very good NRL half.

Luckily we are playing the eels next as Kelma is literally the worst defending back rower in the comp , Kautoga has hands a like feet .
 
Massive win.
As a few others have already said, they are playing for the coach and finally have the confidence to back their defence when errors are made or bad calls go against us.
I don’t know what our best team is, but AD was our man of the match and there is no doubt the Jock Madden style of play allows us to function better,
Then when you add the silky class of Latu Fainu and a much more lively Jahream Bula it is hard to contain for any rival defence.
Our 2-5 is still our worry, but the youngsters are learning fast and giving their all, that’s all you can ask of them at the moment.

Doueihi came up with some great plays that lead to points, happy to give him the 3 points but not my choice as his ballplaying was as bad as you can get, particularly in the first 30 minutes. He was the main reason we were so bad.

Once we got into the grind of the game, Doueihi decided to stop ball playing and he looked so much better. He is so valuable ti this team, he just needs to accept he is a runner.

Finally, finally you can see the team is fit. I don’t know why it took 15 years but they have finally got there. There is fitness, belief, and attitude, and also a little bit of depth which has been sorely tested to start the season.

Totally. Feels like the kind of win that will instill a ton of confidence and belief into the boys.

The fitness levels is a huge turnaround. We’ve completely flipped the script and we’re now the team that scores tries leading into halftime.

Still early days and there’s a lot of scar tissue for us all, but it is starting to feel a bit different this year. At the very least, we’re going to be competitive and give ourselves a chance in almost every game.
 
I agree the young guys definitely deserve a lot of credit, did they make mistakes, yes but more importantly when they did they did not drop their heads. They made mistakes and they worked hard to make up for it. The resilience shown by the whole team is something we have been lacking & tonight was all about resilience, fight & fitness. This could be a huge turning point for the team & it is definitely a confidence boost they needed.

His defence was great what are you talking about? He forced an error on Ford close to the line.
 
The ref was shocking tonight . The sin bin was ridiculous, a some of the warriors “penalties” were ridiculous . He also did the circus 2020 ref strategy of sending someone to the bin and then penalises the non offending team so the score stays the same.
Andrew Gee has gone from the best ref in the game to one shit call away from going back to nsw cup .
 
A terrific truely gutsy win
Down by 10 and things looked bleak...the defense was inspiring and its been a.long time since ive felt pride in this mob.
I was on my feet the last 10 minutes couldnt sit still
Theres 100% definitely belief in the squad and rheyre.playing for the coach
Hope they booked an.extra.seat on the return flight for the 2 points...its a huge 2 points!
