LIVE GAME Round 5 versus Eels

Live Game Discussion
Javon looks sharp with the ball its his defence that concerns me.

Toa looked ok. Id walk him straight back in and its his jersey to lose. Turuva isnt a centre and we need maka on the wing.

I saw Herbert stuff up a basic defensive read that led to a try, I wrote him off after that.
What's your fascination with To'a? If he can't outplay people in cup, what makes you think he deserves to be gifted NRL opportunity? His performances for most of last year were horrible. He needs to play in cup, perform well and prove he deserves selection

He was playing injured last year. I dont think he needs 10 games in Reggie's to prove himself. If he has one or two matches thats enough.

Re your other reply to me, turuva is better on the wing for us.

Parra fans trying to go at LL

It’s the way of the world these days….people speak or act to each other like they’ve never been smacked in the mouth….and that is because most haven’t.
It’s easy to act tough when you are 99.99% sure there’ll be no ramifications. 30 years ago someone in the crowd would have cleaned those two maggots up for carrying on like that.
Today…it just doesn’t happen much anymore.

Our defence won the game yesterday. Our Coaching staff have all in the team much fitter resulting in big improvement in defending. Api 57 tackles, Twal 51 and KPP 46 tackles , and all playing big minutes, incredible stats .
“ No one ever drowned in sweat!” One of Jack Gibson’s best quotes referring to training hard in pre-season to improve in defence. Were on the up for sure!!

If you acted that way at the El Rancho pub in North Ryde back in the day you would of been knocked on your arse with missing teeth.

That was my thoughts as well until I looked it up this morning. There is no definition of what cleard the ruck means so the NRL rule interpretation is that the Ref calls go when the ruck is clear so no movement can be mande until that call. See the post for the detail here.

I don't recall the refs calling go each and every tackle so pretty sure it is loosely officiated. I think it is very strange that having the ball clear the ruck is not defined clearly.
Alwats thought the 'ruck' was deined as the player playing the ball and the marker...but thats going back some time now.
