This is one of those games where our line speed in the first 20 minutes will tell you where we are at. We can be an annoying team to play against when we have good energy in D. Also, broncos aren't invincible, they stunk it up a couple of weeks ago. Injuries robbing us of a chance to really see where we are at, but there's still 17 blokes who can have a crack.

I think this game will be lost in the middle. So my tactical thinking would be to overly compress our defense and dare the Broncos to go around us. Play away from our weakness in other words. You are gambling because they have some class out wide but if you can get a few mistakes out of them you give yourself a sniff.
Yes, you are ll over it. That is the approach. Contain the middle and then up and in an attempt to stop the ball getting wider. We can't compress to contain the middle and then try to slide off in defence. It is either compress, up and in and contain any overlaps with the scramble of slide off them to address the shape. It goes without saying that we use a pressure defence in their red sone - will be difficult with their big boppers but it gies us a fighting chance.

its a simple game ,we basically have the players now. If we turn up to win we will

Winning this game is not probable, but it is certasinly possible. We won't control the middle given the quality of the opposition; however, if we contain them we have the ability to outscore them. We certainly won't achieve it unless we cantrol the momentum of the game and take our chances.

We can't afford to let them get a start. Our slow starts have been a huge issue for us and unless we address it the Donkeys could kick out to a big early lead. Brisbane will want to play fast, racking up metres down the middle before shovelling out to Staggs, Walsh and Cobbo through two very expereinced halves. So how do we do it?

If we let them camp in our red zone points will flow for them, so we need to attack them with our defence in the middle third of the field. Unless the Donkys are off their game, we will not win the middle contest; however, if we scrap hard in every contact and contain them we have the ability to play up an in on Hunt and Reynolds to limit Walsh and Co out the back. We also need to control momentum, which will be difficult with such immature halves. Api will prpbably need to do a bit of kicking out of dummy half. 40/20s would be gold, but if we can find touch if they are getting as roll on it breaks their momentum, gives us time to calm down and reset.

The key to winning isn't our defence though. The defence is definitely the foundation we need to build from, but this is a game where we have to have the attitude of scoring one more point than they do. Galvin and Latu have to play what they see and take their chances. If we try to get in the grind with Brisbane we will be minced and they will put a score on us.
Agree with this. Definitely see a high scoring game.
Rewatching the Wahs game it was noticeable we were on the back foot the whole game.
It wasn’t until the 8th min that we finally dominated a tackle in the ruck. Our next attacking set we got a pen and we went on the attack.
What we did well was take our chances and convert our opportunities in attack.
What we also did well was scramble in defence but what we didn’t do well which would have went a long way to dominating the contest was bring the physicality into defence.
It was a funny game and felt a lot like the dolphins game from the week before though with that one difference I mentioned. I felt with the Phins we were pretty equal in the forwards and neither side had the front foot or back foot in the game.
It looks like we can attack well, unstructured but we are taking our opportunities and picking our options well, this needs to continue to grow whilst adding in a more physical approach to our defence.

See some feeling that the Broncos are some awesome team that will thrash us
Well just looking at Tries scored and tries conceded thru 4 rds
Broncos 21 scored 14 conceded +7
Tigers 16 scored 10 conceded +6
Cant see much there to get terrified about

....and its a Saturday night game. Drongos are used to playing Friday nights and on the turps on Saturdays. They will be all out of whack and prime for the taking.

Notice our "HOME " Stadium games this year
Being the 3 which are our nominated grounds
We play Campbelltown 4 ( lost 2 already )
Leichardt 3
Commbank 5 ( 2 are away games eg Rd 2)
Note we also play 2 at Suncorp and 2 at Allianz
Only one where we actually have a home ground advantage is LO
Personally like Commbank as facilities great
Campbelltown imo is a long way away with terrible parking and we seem to lose most of our games there

It will be interesting to see if Benji plays the halves same side?
My guess is that he’s focused on Galvin learning off Luai and having him stick to Luai like tarzans grip. So we could see a split in the halves, either side, which could be interesting?

Really really hoping Sam Fainu gets some good footy. Luai has been great but he's yet to strike a good combo with Sam, not often playing short to him

Hopefully little brother Fainu will help his big bro out

Man, I just want to hear Madge plan his attack against us to the Brisbane team:

"Don't worry guys, I know the Wests Tigers. You got to watch that winger David Nofo, he is their main tryscorer but also your path to 3 tries a game. Just run it up his side.

Their fullback is athletic, but you can just walk over Mbye. Their halfback combination can't organise the team and only Luciano is going to run straight.

Don't worry guys, I know the Tigers!"

It’s not that they are an awesome team, it’s that we are over achieving and due for an off performance. With a few blokes missing and the game in Brissie…it’s tailor made for a good old fashioned Tiger trouncing.

Please don't let it be 50+ all the doomsday worshippers will come out of the woodwork.

I have a feeling we are going to ambush the Broncos tomorrow night and win well.

For 23 years I have been haunted by when the 'Baby Broncos' beat the short-priced favourites Wests Tigers at Campbelltown 28-14 in 2002.

Now the time has come for revenge when the 'Teen Tigers' ambush a short-priced Broncos at their homeground!

Is it an ambush if they already know our squad is playing well?
They’ll be ready for it.

Is the team lineup at the moment strong enough for an ambush at the Broncs home ground, not feeling it unless they cop the wrath of the bunker head highs and we don't.
