LIVE GAME Round 6 v Knights

Live Game Discussion
I don’t agree.
Latu 7, Luai 6, Galvin 3, Doueihi 5.
Luai is not a 7 and Galvins not a 6.
We can’t fix the attack until we fix this.
Problem is Latu isn’t a halfback either. We have three 6’s. Funnily enough the best the halves have looked was when AD played 7 in the trial.

Twal is the unsung hero of this team. The guy should be a cult hero.
Luai's value is immeasurable. He's the glue that binds this team together.
All this talk about our attack yet we're averaging 23 points per game and the team leading the comp. is averaging 25.
We win unconventional. We don't look slick, but the job gets done.
All of you criticizing Jarome and Galvin need to understand that their play is what creates the confusion in the opposition because it's not conventional. That's what creates our opportunities.
We've got a team that can play this year, yet the moaning continues on here.

It was a listless game. Reflecting on it, it seemed we were saving gas for the 2nd half. Low intensity, until we were well in front and Star shaking Gagai was great. I think / feel Galvin may have been told to not overplay and let Luai take more control. Dare I say it but I missed the energizer bunny. We should have put 40+ on them - they were terrible at home. Good to see big Sam back to his best. I’ll take any win and the ref blew how many penalties and 6 agains to give them the consolation try. And Ponga - who should have been HIA’d - missed the goal. It was like we wanted to play at 60% to conserve ourselves. We ended up favs with the bookies at kick off. Got my multi - Turuva first try and the win. Parra next week. Let’s pack it out and claws out!

Yes that is true.
I think we are wasting Luai at 7.
He’s played 5 games for us now and even though we’ve won 3 of them, we really haven’t looked great in attack bar the 40 minute mid game blitz v Parra and the late charge home v Dolphins.
To my mind, we’ve only played one top 8 team so far. These early games are the practice run to form combos before we face the gauntlet post magic round….tough game after tough game is coming.

I'm not saying I want Douehi dropped. If anything I've been a big critic of his, but so far he's played well beyond what I expected of him. I just think Naden deserves a spot due to his form before he got injured.
He had earned that spot & I think he should get a run with Skelton likely out for at least 2 weeks if the recovery team are fair dinkum.
In saying that, I like the 17 we started with today, they are our top 17:and hopefully play intact most weeks.
And Doueihi needs some more goal practice!

I agree they are all 5/8's. But moving Galvin to centre the best option to stop him stifling the attack.
But Doueihi's success at 1/2 would be short lived as the opposition coaches work out his deficiencies quick time.

I also was very disappointed that Bula is still floating in and out of games. He was great in the first half but the invisible man in the second half.
He scored a try that he created, delivered a pass to score a try, was good under the high ball. If that's coming in and out of games then I'll take it. You don't want him hitting his straps till later in the year anyway.

Are you Nadens mother? In what world does he deserve a spot? He spent most of last season (and frankly his entire tenure here) either bludging, having brain explosions or being suspended.

And because he had a couple of good trial games, he’s earned a spot? Funny how he finally strings together a few good games in a contract year. What a coincidence!

I genuinely wonder whether people on this forum actually watch our games.

Ponga was on the left trailing Galvin and Luai when it went right for Bula's try. He didn't follow his opposite, shows where the threat is seen.

No I'm going on what was being said about him pre season in regards to his training & commitment and how well he played leading up to his injury.
His coach felt he deserved a shot and was given it & performed well.....losing it only to injury. As I said, I would rather the 17 that started again the Knights in the last game
