Three reasons we lost tonight:

1: Makasini having a shocker, he needs to go back to Cup for a few weeks.

2: Jock not getting enough game time, he's been out game breaker the last few weeks.

3: The boys simply were not hungry enough, out enthused by the Broncs.

* Yes we copped some bad, really bad decisions but that is not an excuse.*

We need Tino on the wing, he's a gun Jock needs to be on the field for at least 40 mins.

While I'm disappointed, we only lost by a field goal so our FA isn't really effected & we SHOULD still be sitting 3rd at least thanks to our F/A.

I'm not going to blame Benji, we lost by 1 to the Premiers & would have won without the errors from poor Maka, he was overwhelmed & is really lacking confidence. He didn't have that good a game last week but tonight was a shocker!! He needs to go back to Cup for 3 or 4 weeks to regain some form.

Panthers got lucky last night and Tigers didn't tonight.
They are still in the top 4 and have lost 2 games by a total of 5 points.
That is a crap load better than the last 14 years.
I agree it was a game they should of won, but will hopefully learn and get better as the season goes on.
Once the attack clicks a bit better they should demolish some teams.
The defence tonight was a bit ordinary and might of been a bit of fatigue.
All in all UP THE TIGERS!!!!
such a better team than what we have had in it feels like forever.

I get we are frustrated, but with Maka not making those mistakes, we win that game. Same game plan out work the opp. Tonight we had more basic mistakes than we have had in months.

Ad was picked to be half it needs to happen Benji panicked and put jock on. Jock has been good for us but people are talking like he is the 2nd coming. Luai's first game back in ages looked rusty, but to say jock should start over him is an emotional reaction.

Our two loses have been paniful but hardly burn it down.

That was not a “very good” Broncos team.
They did play well though and they have clutch players…it’s something we severely lack.
We had all the run, most of the rub of the green…they had a weakened side that lost more during the game.
That’s a poor loss.

they are still a well coached team which defended extremely well and were way more physical than us … also had the two best players on the park … Reynolds and Staggs …

If they were at full strength they would have won by more obviously

Edit - I’ll also say that one players errors in the last 10 mins when they were leading had a huge bearing on the result

A frustrating game, no doubt. You gotta win these ones when you have so much possession, just like Souths.

That was an Adam Reynolds masterclass. That was a champion team showing why they're champions. Composure and execution.

The pressure is gonna be applied to Luai and it should. That is not leadership, especially with Makasini, nor organisation in attack. I'd be filthy if I were the forward pack.

My saving grace is that we are a work in progress and have come so far from this time last season defensively. Our attack now needs to be better. We have lost 2 games by a combined 3 points.

Makasini is 18 and very good for his age. But games like tonight are why so few 18 year olds play NRL and why teams that play those guys don't win much. Tbh there's a strong argument he's been better than Jeral and Luke L.

I hate losing more than most … but this thread is [This word has been automatically removed]ing embarrassing to read .
The first half was yuck to read , and the carry on right now … mam and Reynolds executed at key points in the game . So did our guys . We had a winger drop the ball , then get in his head , drop it again , lose focus in defence which leads to a line break and give away a crazy penalty . That was the difference . Our 18yo winger couldn’t shrug off his mistake . We dominated field position, and often the final pass went to ground . I thought we looked real dangerous when AD went to centre and madden came on . But I also thought the same when Latu came on . Shit happens . We play like that we kill the raiders .

That's the issue 65 minutes to change what we all seem after 15 minutes in the game.

No Luai should have been on the bench, we played the same against soufts shitvattack in the 20! That’s Luai, if bunji wasn’t so far up Luai’s ass, we win. Mind u since Renoylds windged constantly to the ref, they got DLL the penalties and the 6 to go’s. What a shocking call by the ref with that penalty in front for his donkey team, absolutely disgusting. Pathetic refereeing display so bias, ginger knob! FFS he stepped two steps from dummy half soi hits his arm, he knocks on, yet they get the penalty. What a joke!

Dont blame the ref. Could of won that game 10 times over.

I thought the broncos edge defence rushed early , limited our time and space and forced us to drop unders all the time . They defended really well . We had soo many half chances where we got our centres on the outside of thier man , only for the broncos to execute thier tackles . They haven’t been doing that all year . Mam made all his tackles and he played well in attack . He’s a gun .
That team 1-13 would start in 90% of the nrl teams including Jesse Arthur’s. We need to execute better . . They rushed up and in , and AD didn’t recognise a kick behind . He tried a few floaters over the top , but thier second phase defence collapsed . I thought they defended amazingly.

It was the inability to set up the outside backs, look what Mann was doing, very dangerous.

Luai didnt have any of that tonight and often doesnt.

Lucky? How?. Our attack was bottom 4 at best. Defence in the middle was good but in the backs they made alot of metres on the edges.

They have 6 players out and we couldn't win. Any other full strength team would of put more tries on us

Yeah, Broncos still a good side. Everyone is banging on about their missing players but they’re still fairly star studded and were always going to be a decent chance tonight.

If you compare the teams, I still think they were better than us on paper

I would hate to be a 5/8, centre, backrower or fullback playing outside Adam Doueihi. His clunkiness, lack of ballplaying skill is heart in mouth stuff everytime he looks like passing the ball.

Yeah he has that Brooks tradition of running sideways and cutting the space for his outside men.

He just needs to play more direct.
