You need to take that up with accounting. The media couldn’t wind up any fans with the pitiful amount he was getting in the first 2 years of this 4 year deal.
It was considered a master stroke by Pascoe at the time.
For about 12 mins I actually dared to believe an upset was on.
There were some good play and effort,

The only problem I have with Brooks is that he’s not agro enough when he doesn’t get the support he needs. He’s accepted all the mediocrity dished up over the years by the club’s board and coaches. All the crap levelled at him from frustrated fans, wound up by media urgings.
I’d like to see him yelling at his team mates to chase his kicks, get into position to receive a pass etc.
Sure, he could kick a little higher sometimes or longer at other times, but on the Richter scale those things aren’t our earth shattering issues.
If Bateman gets to his in goal grubber half a second sooner we probably go on to win the game.
Sure we have recruited well and have a handful of very good players, but we need 20 good players working as a team to win games.
So, tanking?

He’s not overplaying it like Nofa does? He has been instructed to play the way he does like everyone else in the team, except Bateman the way it looks, he’s possibly been told to play it as you see it and don’t worry about making mistakes.
That’s what it looks like to me?

2 telling moments which lost us the game.
Stef running at Lionel Richie and losing the ball gave Manly possession which they scored from.
Saab and Tupou challenged for that bomb, it was a good contest and I don't blame Tupou he was unlucky not to come down with it.....Talau just standing there and not even shielding Tupou from Saab showed what a lazy mediocre player he is.

As good as they were, Tupou went missing in support when the break was made on the left.
Staines should have been there when Wakeham through that pass on the right.
I’m the first one to bash Brooks but don’t blame him solely for the loss albeit he should have taken that ball in the clear.

I tread that article just now and cannot see where the "Live TV audience's act shows Wests Tigers are an unfortunate joke."
That heading is sensational click-bait.
In truth the article was actually positive about the effort of the Tigers with Manly’s Jake Trbojevic, Hindmarsh, Johns and Fletcher praising the Tigers.
I really have no respect for these so called journos, in this case news.com.

I think you have to see the Marty Johns show to understand the funny side of it? The joke was centred around Jake and his courteous way of seeing the best in people. He genuinely talked up the Tigers, which seemed odd to those on the show because we haven’t won a game since Adam was a boy.
